    Man, your my hero! I prefer the stock pitch correction on Garageband than external plug ins. Specially for minor pitch correction. I did not think that copy, delete, adjust the key to the right note and paste works. Lol Thanks!

      the best way to get it right is to figure out what key your song is in before you record any MIDI or Audio and set the key of the song in the little panel up the top of the screen. That way you wont run into any issues, let me know how you go.

    quick question. how would you go about pitch correction if there is a key change within the song?

    • @StudioHacks
      @StudioHacks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a tricky one. I would probably stick to a chromatic setting (so don't use the limit to key feature) for the easy answer. That way at least any notes that are slightly sharp or flat will be fixed. The more advanced way would be to use the transposition track under the menu "track" then select "show transposition track" it could get tricky if the song is already recorded, that's the only way I know to program in a key change into the song, then the limit to key will follow the new key. Hope this helps!

    Hello Brother! I'm starting to use garageband now. And I inadvertently recorded the song in C major. Except that it is actually C # minor. When I try to change to make the correction the sound is all buggy. Can you tell if there is a way to do this voice tone correction or would you have to record everything from scratch to correct it? I liked your sound and your willingness to help those just starting out ...

    • @StudioHacks
      @StudioHacks  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use the pitch shifter plugin to move up and down by semitones but I don't think there is a fine tuned pitch editor in GarageBand. You could possibly look for a 3rd party AU plugin that might be able to do it for you. Cheers

    • @StudioHacks
      @StudioHacks  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      thats a tricky one, usually the first note of the first chord you have in your song. It usually takes a little music theory knowledge. I found a few videos from other creators by just typing in "how to find the key to your song" into youtube. Do you have a MIDI keyboard or a guitar kicking around?
