- A short melodic techno track with all analog synths. The bass is from the Moog Minitaur. The stabs come from the Behringer Crave. The two styles of plucks come from The Korg Volca Bass and Volca Keys. Sequenced and mixed in Reaper. The delay is Baby Comeback and the chorus is Magic Switch, both free from Baby Audio.
Camera is a Fujifilm X-A7 with a vintage Helios 44m-6 lens.

Great minimal setup for maximum effect.
Thanks! This is my all analog setup and while I certainly don't think there's anything wrong with virtual analog or digital synths (I have several and they're great!) it's fun to try to get a full arrangement from just the analog gear with limited voices.
Where do sequences and FX come from? Is it recorded via a DAW? @@scottnelle
Love the sound and ther lightening !
The power of analog synth sound !! !! Great track !! !! ✨✨👌👌🤍🤍
Thanks, Chris! Intellectually I feel like there shouldn't be anything special about analog vs. digital synths, but I just have more fun when I'm using simple analog synths!
Amazing sound you get out of these synths !
Thank you!
Awesome jam!
Thanks so much!
Sounds great you have a gift😊
Thanks!
Dude that is killer! Wow.
Thanks so much!
DUDE this is so good wow
Thank you so much! I worked really hard on this one and the positive response has been so meaningful to me!
The bass sound is awesome 😮 Great job.
Thanks! I'm really enjoying the Minitaur! And the wordplay in the product name (Mini Moog envelopes and Taurus oscillators, I think) is delightful!
@@scottnelleno way, the name hahaha, love it. I’ve got one on order, counting the days down till I have this epic toy
Very cool setup, love the volcas.
Thanks! I find these two volcas to be really powerful and versatile when sequenced via midi. Incredible value instruments!
Stunning!
Thank you so much! This was a fun one to create
Awesome.
Awesome! 👍
Thanks! It was fun to put together!
sounds amazing - 👍
Thanks, Matthias!
Hey really great job on this, I love me some Crave!
Thanks so much! I really enjoy mine! It was my first or second hardware synth and it has a special place in my heart.
@@scottnelle I have one too and love it!! Just awesome analog warmth for a small synth.

That bassline is delightful.
Thanks! I'm really enjoying the Minitaur. I'm glad I bought one when I did since there's been so much chaos at Moog recently!
@@scottnelle Oh, yeah, good point. Gotta grab one before the quality tanks.
@@tinywires I've been thinking they might take the Minitaur out of production altogether since they appear to be out of stock everywhere. I think the new owner will either focus on the high end synths or cash in on the Moog name by building new super affordable stuff, and the Minitaur is right in the middle.
Sounds great
Thanks!
@@scottnelle 🙂
Crave in black looks good!
Ooh, I should look into getting a skin for it! It looks like Oversynth has one available and it's pretty cool. In this video it's actually the original orange, but because the lighting is (accidentally) exactly the opposite color on the color wheel, it makes it look black!
Wow!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤩
Thank you!
Super son ! 👍
Nice very good❤
Thanks, Paula! Digging the most recent mix on your channel. A fellow Traktor hold-out!
So tight, sounds great!
Thanks!
Can I ask if the drums are from your DAW and are you also sending midi notes from DAW to the external synths?@@scottnelle
@@jelig72 yup, in this one the drums are programmed in the DAW (I think using Inphonik RX1200) and the midi is being sent from the DAW to the synths.
This is where I ultimately want to get to with my setup. Thanks and keep up inspiration!@@scottnelle
@@jelig72 cool! I use an audio interface with four line inputs and one midi output. The midi output goes to a CME Thru5 MIDI Splitter which then sends the midi to all of the synths. The synths are each set up to receive a different channel so they each play only their part, and then all of the audio goes back to the DAW for processing. I use mostly latency free plugins when recording and as long as the total latency on each DAW channel is less than the ASIO buffer size, it all works in real time without any noticable latency.
Cool! Its not the size that matters, its how u use it!
Thanks! I agree. These small synths sound great and are so much fun!
Hi, great set. What audio device did you use to record everything?
Thanks! I use a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 2nd Generation to record each synth to its own channel in my DAW, which is Reaper. All four channels are in Line mode (vs. Instrument mode) and the gain is usually up to about 50%. I recently got a Universal Audio Volt 4 and I'll probably switch to that eventually, but the Focusrite has been totally solid and I've used it for years. There's a little cross-talk between channels, but I honestly don't mind it. I use a CME Midi Thru5 to distribute midi out to all of the devices.
