There wasn't an extension out there for a seamless edit of both the video and audio, so I went ahead and made one.
Considering how damn aesthetic and chill this is, I'd say it's a gem. I haven't played the game yet, but this soundtrack alone really makes me want to now.
Also, Hat Kid now flails her arms to the beat, I think. ...I did what I could.

If I were to extend this any further, this would take me approximately one day to render out a single hour of the video itself. I can't imagine having to suffer and make a 4 or 10 hour version, nor will I take to such a task for the time being. I'm sure somebody else out there can do it though, but in the meantime, looping the video should suffice.
And before anyone points out the video micro stutters like at 0:39 and 2:39, those were part of the original source, so I can't do anything about it.

I am VERY confused.
this is why people like the game.
For a very small, wacky little girl, HK sure it complex. Yes, she is a troublemaker, but, she can be scared, she can make mistakes and she can feel exceedingly empty inside.
People betray her, bully her and push her around. Yet, in the end, she was willing to save them all.
I think she had the best development in the whole game.
At the beginning of the game, she wasn't willing to give up her time pieces for a cause, or to help someone succeed in their work.
Then, when they were stolen and the world was changed for the worst, ultimately, Hat Kid had to go get the pieces back, but, that was just one of her goals. If you found the secret "false bad ending" cutscene, you'd see her running away because she was scared, but, the thing that encourages her to continue the journey, is everyone she met. She made friends there.
And everyone stands beside her, and helps her get the time pieces back.
When she does get them back, she doesn't just leave all willy nilly, everyone is basically dead in the scene afterwards, and Hat Kid couldn't leave it that way.
She changes time back to fix everything.
Then, as she leaves, she can choose to give up just one time piece to Mustache Girl, and she probably does, which would probably be the best indicator that she's grown throughout her journey. She's not being selfish, anymore.

Whenever i failed a seal the deal snatcher challenge, i cried, no joke. Once i was borderline sobbing. Not only was it because i was sensitive, but shit was happening in my real life too and idk why losing a dumb game made me burst. However, when peace and tranquility comes on, that's the thing that makes me calm down and build courage again. M a n i love this song.
This kind of reminds me of when I was trying to 100% Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 back when I was a kid, and I succeeded. The soundtrack from those games had a similar affect with me too. A lot of anger, sweat, and tears were a part of that journey, and so too is real life. May we find peace and tranquility in our days.

So, dropping by to tell the story of why I enjoy this OST so much, this and You Are All Bad Guys.
A friend of mine and I have been voice acting two of our own characters over them playing the game and streaming it to a discord VC. The two characters weren't close from the beginning, my friend voicing HK and me voicing MG, but slowly, they became really close. And although the end fight pit them against each other, my character thinking she was doing the right thing, my friends character, crying and begging mine to stop fighting, told her she loved her. And from that moment on, my friend got the DLC and we still continue to voice over the gameplay with the two characters. Today, they got the Peace and Tranquility badge, and the two characters danced with each other over it. Listening to the song now reminds me of the good times I've spent with this friend. The way they've made my days better and more interesting, the way I feel happy even after we leave the voice call. I don't think I'll ever get over those moments.

Second of all, I never said they were common, I said they were “surprisingly” common, which to me they were, since I’d expect the number to be closer to zero.

Also, I’ll try MGSV sometime soon, I’ve heard a lot of good things about it.
No good games insult you for being poor at the game otherwise you'd just not play the game. They're all just using different encouragement - some will kick you in the balls, others will remind you that it isn't over yet. Both are equally good at getting you to retry. Dark Souls hits you with a "You died" every time you die but it never insults you, it makes you want to get back in there after being humiliated but youll have a better idea of "that didn't work, I'll try something else" or "I almost had him there"
It would just be nice for every game to make difficulty more player friendly - maybe getting rid of settings and having the game be designed around one challenge that encourages players to improve and give then support until they can do so. Like Persona 5 is so well designed that normal is all you need - why would you ever want to play a version that breaks that balance? A Hat In Time has that, find the game a little too easy? Here are some challenges. Too hard? Alright, let's give you a helping hand. No Golden Tanooki level handholding here but equally it doesn't pull the "increase theirs and lower yours" trick. It feels stupid to even give you the option of a difficulty level, if the game is well designed - it doesn't need you to choose how hard or easy the game is because you'll naturally climb that ladder and be slowly taught how to improve
@attacker the chicken hat was most certainly mocking you coming from someone who was play who is played Metal Gear games sure it's not a difficulty slider in the normal sense but it's it's a mocking item you can say that it was existing only for a joke but that is not intellectually honest
My fiance has been sick and it's been hard watching him suffering. It's been an emotional time as I wish I could take his illness away and bear it for him. I should have been listening to this sooner. But for now and forever, I'll be his Peace and Tranquility.

I... think about this a lot. Time is ticking inevitably, and thereis nothing you can do to change that. But, you don't have to worry about those things. Funny enough, I seem to have the exact opposite experience. Like I have X amount of positive energy for the whole day, but it's never enough, and if any of it goes toward having a good morning, something *will* go horribly wrong later on, and from then the day's just fucked.
