Takes a lot longer about 3 day soak but you can do the same thing with white vinegar and not have the danger or the problem with getting rid of the mix.

Vinegar takes alot longer. Time is valuable to me

do you remove the remaining wax off them prior to soaking?

What do you do with the left over acid solution , had to get rid of it properly , can't just dump it out
