I would have definitely sold out and joined them, (instead of selling shoes ) And loved every minute of playing those commercials hits. The way Kevin went about this was WRONG, but to your point, he was the closest thing to an original member as they had. (Of course Neil) but he retired. My question is, was this discussed with Alan Neil and any other original member of REO? I can see what you said happening. Kevin does the solo thing. Kevin and the hits of REO coming to a city near you in 2025 Again, I’m not saying the way he went about this was right. What's at play here. I think its business tactics; reminiscent of a band, athlete etc. stating they/he is retiring and after some time will come out an announce they/he will be coming out of retirement. The "fans" are overwhelmed with excitement and they are willing to pay 'top dollar' to see them/him again. I think REO Speedwagon (Kevin Cronin) after a few months will come out and announce REO Speedwagon's business matter with Bruce Hall have been resolved enabling Mr. Hall back with REO Speedwagon. Announcing, REO Speedwagon set on a US tour.

I think arnel is a better singer than Steve augeri and yes journey should continue with Arnel.

Arnel needs to stay! I am 61 now, been listening to Journey since there conception! He has done a great job the past 17 years replacing Steve Perry! Last, he is Asian like my own family, who is Korean!!! My youngest son jokingly has been accused of being Arnel, they do look very similar!!!!! 🥰😍🥰😍

I been a R.E.O. fan since late 73 or early 74. Shortly after T.W.O. came out. R.E.O. was a great band clear back then. Then Kevin came back in, and they were still a great band, but still not worldly know. Then, in 1981, MTV showed the whole world what we already knew in the midwest. R.E.O. was a great band! So, no. I won't agree that Kevin was the success that people give him credit for. IMHO, MTV was the biggest thing that pushed R.E.O. into the stratosphere. T.W.O. is a great album, as is the Tuna album. Also, at that same time in 77 they started producing their own music. Then, someones head got bigger than it really was, and it destroyed the R.E.O. sound that everyone around the midwest loved. RIP, Gary, and Gregg!!! You two guys, along with Alan, were the best of the best! This was a typical dick move by Kevin! This type of action was exactly what drove Gary to drunking more. That really hurt coming from someone that you hired, and considered your best friend. Then stabs you in the back.

Unfortunately, I believe Steve will never sing with Journey again. Steve is 75. If he really wanted to, it would have happened long ago. Steve is frozen in time, his voice, his looks, and his stage presence. He is forever young. It would destroy that illusion. I love Steve Perry. I never got to see Steves Journey. I would love for Steve to tour on his own. However, I don't think that will happen either. We, his fan, will have to be happy with the fact he may put out a couple more albums if we are lucky, and that's it. He won't even do a Vegas show or Madison Square Garden like Biily Joel did for 10 years. It's done as I said the most we can hope for is a new album. Steve forever in our hearts!

Feel like I grew up with him. Some of the best shows I've seen (6). He was even part of my inspiration to get sober (5yrs). Nothing but respect and wishing him the best.

After Gary left and passed REO Speedwagon died when he left.

Kevin is the voice of REO. He quit. He didn’t want Bruce Hall back. Thats why. Neal wanted Bruce back. It’s a shame that he did it. There should have been a farewell tour. It didn’t have to end so ugly. Thanks to Kevin.

AP must just have 1 bad night in Rio, to think that the year 2024, it was a long stretch of Tour that started Feb 6, 2024..and may end Dec 2024.. REO Speedwagon was done after Kevin fucked Gary, so whats going on now does not really matter at all for me. Kevin is a little bitch & always will be. If Kevin would come out of the closet, he might be a happier person and not such a bitch.

Been a Journey fan since the 80's, yeaaa i love Steve Perey, but i also love Arnel. People get over it, Arnel is the lead singer of Journey. Yes i like him better than Steve A. He should not quit. Those haters have nothing better to do than bring someone down. So PPPFFFFFF to all those haters out there. Arnel is awesome. Sometimes i do think the music is too loud for a singers voice though. And then he has to strain to keep up. And touring is hard on the voice when you have such a loud fast paced song. Journey songs are very loud and vibrant. But hey after all these years, this band is STILL RELEVANT!!!!! YES

Only Arnel can make that decision, it’s all about knowing his own voice. That being said, I’m 💯 % a Steve Perry girl, and I don’t want to hear anyone else singing his songs. It’s nothing against Arnel, I just don’t feel the same emotions from any other voice.

Yes 100% Ann is the best, when it comes to female rock singers, no one comes close in my opinion!! Been a huge fan since mid 80s, didn't really get into music until then, as i was only 15! I also would just like to mention i think she is so beautiful, and absolutely stunning in some of the 80s video's, she has a gorgeous face, and should never have been hidden away, disgusting!!

Arnel is better than Steve Perry, and Steve Augeri. His voice has always been more powerful than both of them. They should continue with an abbreviated schedule of concerts. If someone cares more about Arnel's voice and having him continue producing the "Journey sound", more than they care about $$, things need to change. The set list needs to change for the first time in 40 years and he needs ample time in between shows to rest his pipes. Frankly, none of them sound the same after 17 years, but none of them are singing what he's singing night after night. The real question is, does Neal care more about Arnel, or more about money?
