His blaster grip is One of those QC issues that blow my mind. All that love and attention and skill and developing an awesome Optimus Prime figure but they slip on weapon gripping. Makes zero sense. If I didn't know better I'd say they did it just a mess with people.
I just wish they added battle damaged peices from the final battle to clip on to him instead of a bunch of blast peices. Or a video request you can make some clip on peices to make him look battle damaged? Up to you :)

i'm going to get one at some point, really don't want to pay full price for it. I'll wait to get it in hand to fully make up my mind, but with all the QC issues I think people are overpraising and hyping this thing up quite a bit. I get it, it's the official G1 Movie Optimus Prime, but there are fantastic figures out there right now at a much lower price point with better QC. This guy should be $70 max in my opinion. The prices of these figures are insane.
During the transformation you should make sure the red flap isn’t touching the head when you push down cuz if led to paint chipping on the face for mine
I could really see that plastic bend when the head finally locked in upside down for transformation,it looks like maybe you can grab the tab sticking up with your fingernails to try and help that flap lock into place without only pushing down on the back.I have both the 35th anniversary cel shaded siege figure for robot mode since before the SS 86 he was the best looking mainline figure in that form and I got the earthrise for alt mode.I think this one looks superior in both modes and I hope he's available in most stores that move quite a few figures and not hard to find since it's not exclusive or a generations select like the 5 pack was.
I got them from a hobby shop, I think they’re Bandai, but it text is all in Japanese- I find that you can easily find them online if you type in action figure flight stands, and make sure it comes with a 3mm peg, as it’s what most transformers have.
That panel that covers the Matrix...if they had to use unpaintable plastic, they should've went with a different *color*; surely there had to be a dark gray or black version of that stuff. Reusing the Earthrise Matrix instead of reusing the one from Legacy G2 Laser Optimus or even making another new mold was a dumb design decision, but I get why they did it (SS86-21 Ultra Magnus, SS86-4 Hot Rod, Kingdom/Legacy Galvatron, and Kingdom Rodimus Prime). The ion rifle...ugh. Power of the Primes once again reigns supreme.
Love how this figure looks i have some problems with it but I wanna ask when u plug the axe in does it feel loose or anything that my only worry since its the gummy plastic

He’s officially released here in Hong Kong. Toys R Us has him so that’s what I take as official. Elsewhere in preorders it says he’s due to come out in October or November
6:04 I hate to say this to you but your copy has the missassembly problem of the heel of the feet. The pieces are in the wrong foot Idk if you’ll fix it but there’s is a video out there showing how you could change it
Yeah when I went on Thursday morning, they were just opening the boxes for me, so there were at least 10 of them there. But I went to wonderland today and they have them in large numbers too, but $50 more.
Arguably, I’d say this is better. The transformation is very enjoyable and there is no worry about paint chipping when it comes to the white parts. But I respect your opinion

the heels are backwards but you could easily fix it, much easier than galvatron's shoulders

To me this figure was always going to be a purchase and it helped that I didn’t pay full price for it now I just have to wait till October

EDIT: Modern zoids pilots could also possibly fit.

No the axe is fine, it’s not too gummy. If you have Earthspark deluxe Twitch, it feels similar to her translucent wing things.
And what I've noticed is nobody doing these review videos is mentioning that this is a pre-order item right now it's not even out for purchase yet
Literally one of the first few sentences I say in this video is that I got him early because he’s out in HK.
Definitely looking forward to a premium, Masterpiece Optimus. MP-44 isn't it.

Hi! I haven’t dared pop Optimus’ head off but this SS86 Optimus is much larger than those Primes you mentioned so size wise it won’t work

I am happy with the ER Prime figure. Thought the SS86 looks amazing I'll pass.
I like the robot mode of Prime alot... but his truck mode & trailer is definitely not better than MP-10's in my opinion.
The trailer doesn't even do that much. It's basically just extra fluff so that Hasbro can justify charging $90 for a $20 toy.
