A 30 minute video and only 16 comments. This is an outrage! I just bought this game and I really enjoyed it thank you for all the tips even though there were some minor spoilers. Also, for English not being your 1st language you are amazing at it thank you so much for this and I hope you get the recognition you deserve.
@@EllieMenopy i dont feel like this or dark souls are hard for the right reason. cause games where you can level it just means grind til your strong enough to get past the part. which means its more cheap and grindy. a game like ninja gaiden or devil may cry sure you unlock moves but the games will be hard still no matter what you do. you cant just grind in those games to get past a part. dark souls and salt and sanctuary seem very grindy. like just grind til your op enough to pass a part
This was great. I’m a good 5 hours in, and appreciated the advice. You mentioned parries briefly; I’d just like to add that you can parry a lot more than you might think. Even some boss attacks. You don’t get a riposte, but it completely negates damage without blowing through your stamina.

Im tens of hours into salt and sanctuary and divinity original sin, but put em off for a bit and forgot some stuff, so your vids were perfect for gettin me amped to get back to em. So, hell yeah! And your english is better than most americans, my dude! xD
Around 60 percent done with my first play through (basically blind. This is the first video I've watched about it) but I've noticed if you use wands as your sidearm, polearms of various kinds have worked well throughout the game. The spear is probably the first but you'll drop it fir halberds and reapers so you get more attack spread for flying enemies and stuff. But you can get some polearms that are almost or as strong as greatswords, have better reach, and faster swings. EDIT: just finished vid, you aren't stupid for not being perfect at English. In fact it makes you smarter than most native English speakers. Most of us will never be able to speak a second language. So don't say you are stupid because you aren't.
This is a veeery comprehensive how to play. Just starting the game and feels good to have a heads up of what to expect and experiment on. Really like your vid and style. Was hooked even if it was 30 mins. This deserves more like in my opinion!
Also i have to correct you on something. At the 19:40 minute mark you stated that you can only put three points into stat nodes, that is incorrect! The maximum for each node is 5 points per stat node.

This game is brutal. I’m about 20 hours in and still die every 5 min or so. The only negative thing I can say is that there is no map. But trust me, you will die so many times that you will memorize it
Great video! Very helpful and comprehensive for a new player. Most videos this long don't hold my interest but this one was really engaging and interesting! Also, don't be so hard on yourself! Your English is extremely fluent. And even with minor flaws, that still shows you know at least one language in addition to your native language, which is more than most people can say. Trust me, I live in the South (United States), and a lot of people here don't even know how to properly speak their native English language, let alone any other language. You have nothing to be embarrassed about! Keep up the good work!
I'm at level 140+ something on my first playthrough, probably spent more than 70 hours already but I've found out out about secret doors only an hour ago. I feel stupid but also a little bit relieved because now I know how to access those areas. And I will. Great video, by the way, and the editing is pretty smooth :)
4:38 After playing for nearly 4 hours, creating and trying all the starting classes, I can say with confidence that the Pauper is kinda goated, specifically for the sole reason that it starts with a spear-type weapon. That extra range makes a ton of difference in the early game while you are learning the basics (it's also the only class I killed the starting ship boss with, ~achievement unlocked~)
You shouldn’t always use swords with a strength build for two reasons: Firstly, normal swords usually scale with dexterity or quality (which is both Str and Dex), and Secondly, because swords only do Slashing damage. Hammers do Bludgeoning damage and Axes do half Blunt, half slash damage. A lot of enemies and bosses in the game have completely varied resistances to different damage types, making swords only useful half of the time. Switching between blunt weapons and cutting weapons to suit different areas is a good choice, or if you’d rather only use one, then use Axes exclusively since you’ll always be doing at least 50 percent to 75 percent normal or effective damage against all enemies thanks to axe’s split damage.
I know a decent amount about the game haven't beaten it but got to near end game with a friend and just got past the third lamb on a solo playthrough. Being concise is nice but the detail is appreciated. Just wanted to say this guide is great and don't worry about the English I think you did fine. Great work!

I think that’s because they don’t drift to far from their ideas and sometimes less input is a good thing. I just got the game and when I got to the sanctuary there was another person there and when I looked it up on Google because I was confused on why another person ran in did a prayer and ran out, and it said that it was an online player! I didn't know that you could see other players! Pretty cool feature!!!

4:43 I respectfully disagree. If you're new to this kind of experience, totally go for the pauper cause you won't know what to invest in for some time, and light armor is imo better than heavy, especially at the start of the game. Just my opinion.

Hello I’m sorry I’m confused I bought the game today and played for 5 hours I love it but I don’t find the places to level up I only end up in the place with a candle and I can’t level up from there I lost more than 30k salt is there something to do with the candle thing or do I have to go backward to level up and then continue to the next zone thanks for the reply in advance
i just passed passed the tree man boss.. and i have level of 50 but yet i still can't use spells.. they show X .... in dark souls.. each spell it shows you the requirements like how much faith or strength you should have to be able to use them but here i don't know how much i should have to be able to use them.. also some weapons still shows X and i can't see how much should have to be able to use the.. so what do you suggest?
Overall a very good guide, thank you. :) I do have to point out one thing since it was impossible to miss: it's "salt", not "salts" - "salts" would work if you're comparing different kinds of salt, but here it's just a resource meaning just one type of salt and a non-countable noun, similar to how you can't say "two waters", but you can say "two bottles of waters" or "two bags of salt" works since you can count the containers, but not the substance itself. I also noticed you were unsure about how to pronounce some words. Cambridge or Longman pronunciation dictionaries are a good resource for that - not sure what variant of English is applicable to your region, but both dictionaries offer the British and American versions for any word. Your pronunciation is otherwise very good and clear and you're nice to listen to, I just figured it might help since it's been a good resource for me. P.S. I'm not a native speaker, I've just been trained enough in grammar to notice these things - you could call it a professional deformity since English as a language is my field of study. I hope you find this helpful rather than disheartening and best of luck with your future content. :)
For some reason whenever I get hit I lose max hp no I don’t mean I take damage but my actual maximum hp Is lowered until I rest at a sanctuary or die does anybody know why this is happening?

Choose the knight if you want an easier start obviously. A decent shield an armour will get you through the game no problems.
knight is the easiest early game for a blind playthrough by far

Heres another tip wearing heavier armor makes prayers cost less focus while wearing lighter gear reduces spell cost too
Wow, I didnt know you could level a skill 3 times, makes so much more sense on why I only find lvl 2 armor but can equip lvl 4 armor
