It's so funny that Jackie was doing Wing Chun in that scene in Rumble in the Bronx; that movie was what got me into Jackie Chan and kung fu movies as a kid. I didn't find out about Wing Chun until years later when I saw Ip Man though. Now Wing Chun is mostly what I train and coincidentally gone full circle lol
Yeah that as an awesome scene. I did TKD around that time because that's what we had available, then took up tai chi, etc. Now I want to make my own wooden dummy. Still remember watching Jackie Chan like "woooo. I'm gonna have one of those one day"

I do, actually because Donnie was already a martial artist before so maybe learning wing chun's concept was easier for him because it wasn't his first time training in martial arts, but that's just what i think

I am a wing chun practicianer for many years. i would have to say he is a genius , he didn't just copy the movement, he actually understand the relax force of wing chun (may be it was due to his understanding of Tai chi) Truely amazing, he wooden dummy performance is better than a lot of i have seen who have learned for many years.
Love the music, but its not the same without the sound effect when hands hit the dummy.
