After more than 70 hours of work, I am excited to announce that the second part of my video is finally complete! In today's video, I will be sharing the process of how I created the diorama base and assembled the uniform on the figure. The diorama base was a challenging yet rewarding project that required a lot of attention to detail. I will be taking you through the step-by-step process of how I brought this vision to life, from selecting the materials to the finishing touches. Additionally, I will be showcasing the assembly process of the uniform on the figure, which was another time-consuming task that required precision and patience. I can't wait to share this journey with you and hope that you find it as enjoyable to watch as it was for me to create!

🇻🇳 The Battle of Huế, also known as the Siege of Huế, was a major battle of the Vietnam War that took place during the Tet Offensive, in 1968. It was fought between the North Vietnamese Army and the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN), supported by the United States, for control of Huế, a city in central Vietnam. The battle lasted for over a month and resulted in a North Vietnamese victory, but at a high cost to both sides. The fighting was some of the most intense of the war, and large parts of the city were destroyed.
◉ what is Weathering in the miniature figure?
Weathering for military figures refers to the process of adding realistic details and effects to miniature figures that depict soldiers or military vehicles. This can include things like battle damage, dirt, mud, and other elements that would be found on a real-life military object that has been used in combat or on the field. Weathering is often used to make the figures look more lifelike and to enhance the overall appearance of a model or diorama. It is also used in historical reenactments, to make the figures look more genuine and accurate.

Nice work! Little pointer, at the 9.50 mark, where you are applying the watered down PVA. Spray a light mist of alcohol right before the PVA and it will help the glue flow a lot better into all the nooks and crannies and help lock in your powders and sand etc. Also, add a drop of dish washing liquid into your glue mix to help break the water tension and improve the flow. That way you can avoid the clumping that occurs with the PVA sitting on top of your other materials.
In saying that, your groundwork is fantastic! These little tips might make the next one easier. Love that pose you displayed him in too. Top shelf work!

Hello, friend! Thank you for your support.👍
During the Vietnam War, particularly between 1966 and 1970, many soldiers faced issues with their M16 rifles. They discovered that the rifles had manufacturing defects, and the only solution at the time was to conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of the rifles. As a result, soldiers utilized brushes, toothbrushes, and lubricating oils to keep the weapons clean.
For this figure, I referenced photographs. If possible, please check it out at the end of the video.
      Take care!

@@biginjapan.miniatures Thank you for sharing. My brother (b. 1952) served in the Vietnam War in the USN (shipboard - a destroyer - in engineering). He was stationed either in Subic Bay, Phillippines or Yokosuko, Japan (ca. 1971-1973). Many HAIR-RAISING tales of fire support along the coast of (then) North Vietnam in support of ground troops.

@@jean-jacqueslegall6860 Bonjour, mon ami!
