I've used the Bellroy Hip and Bellroy Sling (2,5L) and the sling is the best option, slimless when empty and with pocket on the back. They were fantastic 10 days in London with that sling!
Love my Bellroy Venture Ready Sling. Best sling bag I've owned. Purse, sling, it's everyday and holds a lot. Glad you reviewed the smaller one and the comparisons. The double zips on the Venture Ready are the best feature. One sided zips are bothersome.
Thanks for the great review. Question if you have time: I’m 6ft with broad shoulders. I like small slings to carry my medication and wallet. I’ve been looking for a nicer sling to replace my cliche lululemon belt bag. The only issue is I needed the lulu long strap version for it to hang lower on my side/abdomen. How long is this strap and do you think this sling would ride extra high with the straps maxed out? And any alternate suggestions in this size range and stylish? Thank you! Edit: I also tried the tomtoc wander and it didn’t do it for me. I’m looking at the alpaka flight sling (1L). Hope we get to see a review!
@@Nomads.Nationhonestly just hoping based off your wearing of the sling you’d be able to say if the the strap is too short to hang like a sling on taller or larger chested individuals. Did you have it maxed out? But thanks.
@@chrizzle17 happy to help where I can but I shoot so many reviews I can't remember to be honest 😂 Whatever I say/show in the review is your best bet. Plus I'm traveling right now so I don't have it with me so I can't double check anything. Otherwise hopefully their customer support can help answer any other questions. Sry I can't be of more help!!
Regarding the magnetic strap, all that is needed is some kind of hole/latch/thingy that you can put a small padlock in when needed (like pacsafe). Although if you're really worried about security that much, just get a pacsafe sling in the first place.
I use a velcro cable tie on all my slings. Wraps around the buckle through the strap holes. Easy to remove if needed, but will stop anyone from trying to just unbuckle it
@@IIIIIIIlIIGreat idea! You can get the benefits of magnetic closures on the daily and when you're in a less-safe area (which most people are hopefully not in every day), you can use the Velcro for an added layer of security which will probably be more than enough. I'm going to use this tip!
@@IIIIIIIlII Good idea. The thing is, if you're worried about someone unbuckling your strap you're probably also worried about someone unzipping your zips, and if you're worried about that you're probably also worried about someone slashing your strap... it's never ending. Might as well just go for a complete solution (or as complete as is realistic).
The one I have I just bought like a week ago. It's a different material. It's like the venture travel 26L not the coated area. But the other. and my aqua guard zippers are matte not shiny
Oof. The buckle is a dealbreaker for me. I don't mind magnetic buckles, but I have something similar for a sternum strap one one of my bags, and it feels like it can slip open easily. I prefer something like what Alpaka has on their newer slings since you have to be very deliberate when undoing it :o
Is it a pocket reliever? or pocket cleaver? or pocket beaver.?? Some other that you might want to check out. Rip Curl have something similar with functionality & affordable.
Wow I had no idea Rip Curl was in the bag and travel gear game, checked out their site and they’ve actually got a lot of interesting stuff! Great shout out
I have the hip pack and it’s my most used sling by far. Great pocket reliever! And the sunglasses pouch works well. Haven’t had my glasses fall out. Keys and AirPods in outside pocket. Wallet, phone, pocket knife, flashlight, and sunglasses in main compartment.
I swear Aron packs things like a psychopath sometimes. 😂 “It’s just to get stuff out of your pockets” Immediately tries over packing it. 😂😂 I know I know! You always try to max out the space; but it’s so funny. 😂
Been waiting for a review on the Bellroy Lite Belt bag for while now waiting versus the Alpaka Go Sling Nano. But maybe this could do for now I think for the magnetic strap, you should have maybe shown a quick example of how easy or difficult it is to pull out when wearing in person. Follow up with a short maybe.
On team mag!! But damn, $75 is steep for the capacity. Went Alpaka for my flight sling needs, but I am a Bellroy fan. Know you super busy, but Bellroy Lite Travel Pack 30L in the near future? Like the price on it & really curious of your opinion.
The magnetic strap would cause me to be a bit anxious especially in a crowded area. I feel that over time it would come apart easier, lose some of the magnetism. No science just my opinion.

I loved my Bellroy Hip Pack this summer. The size and aesthetic is perfect. I did not feel like I was my Dad at Disneyland when I wore it. Wait what?
nice haha

one of my faves as well!
I’m a mag fan!! The convenience is cool and that clasp is worth it
so satisfying 🥰

Thanks so much! I'd recommend reaching out to Bellroy customer support - be sure to let us know what they say 💪

yea Bellroy is constantly changing their fabrics which can be exciting but also frustrating as you don't always know what to expect

Ha it is very ironic and weird but gotta show that capacity man!! 😂
The CAS2 should have been the alt that works excellent in both fanny and sling mode, not just the “manlier” option.
For sure!

Bellroy makes good stuff but that thing sure is small. Pocket reliever indeed
yes, def not meant for bigger items
I got one on sale from Amazon for around $40 and wore it for smaller hikes and runs around 5-10k
nice!
as long as the thief is dumber than me, I think I'm straight - it usually takes me a minute to remember how to unfasten the magnetic closures. 😂
haha me too
