Ost in this game is deeply integrated into gameplay. Camera angles, character movements, actions work in synch with sounds. It's crazy. I don't mind occasional dubstep if not each track in a game is like that. Still not a big fun of it haha. Those movesetts stole my heart. 2:06, 2:383:30 Why is there so many unique contextual tricks? It's inasne how much love was put into this game.
I swear every time i see you play this game I discover some new optimization on the movement and flow of it, you bring out the best in this game and it's always insane. Intentionally getting hit by the spike balls so you can dodge into a dash ring is insane. You're taking this slapdash gameplay engine and doing crazy things with it Also, about what you said about them reusing Frontiers' movement, I also don't really have too much of a problem with it, but if there's something I hope to God they fix, it's the air control. It's hard for me to describe my issue with it, but ever since Lost World, Sonic in midair has felt unreliable and clunky. Whenever you jump, the speed you had on the ground gets transferred into your air speed. That would be all well and good, except if you happen to be moving slowly, Sonic will move slowly in the air. The issue with this is that he can't seem to gain any speed in the air. Whatever he jumped with is what he has to deal with, and ever since Lost World it's made precision platforming needlessly difficult and clunky. You can see them trying to fix this up by making the air boost essential for platforming, but it still feels like a bandaid fix for what are still very clunky physics that don't feel great. I feel like this comes from the fact that Lost World is a very binary Sonic game. You're either holding the "fast" button or you aren't, and that's found its way into the latest Sonic games, and quite frankly I don't know that I care for it. If they're going to keep this gameplay engine, then at the very least I hope they find a way to make speed feel less binary, and to in turn fix up air control significantly. I feel like a good way to fix that would be to bring back the air dash from Adventure, but I don't know what they could do beyond that.
I already listen to this remix on it's own, it's really good. I've noticed it's been talked bad about, but i haven't looked into that very much. Don't understand why a bunch of people hate it.

Another another thing people aren’t realizing is this is the TRAILER VERSION of the song. For all we know, it could be wildly different for the end result.
If you want to add spindash particles, copy over the spinboost cemts and recolour them with effect colour tool then copy over spineffdb and it should work. Also you can edit the colour values in cyloop colours for characters and get orange cyloop. I'm gonna purchase a firearm if the act 2s are all 2D levels with Frontiers-level physics and controls
We've seen gameplay of all three officially revealed stages and at least in Kingdom Valley it looks pretty solid. In Space Colony we only see him flying forward with the Wings and in Chaos Island we only see him in Doom Morph. Plus we see a bit of sidescrolling Doom Surf action in the Overlord boss fight. I think they just understand sidescrolling isn't as exciting as marketting material, since they haven't been HIDING it so much as just not putting it front and centre.
@@cassandramaccarthy3337 We’ve only seen extremely short snippets of 2D gameplay that really don’t give a good idea as to what it’s like, that’s why I want to see a full 2D Level. The 2D Doom Morph section in the Boss Fight isn’t a good indicator either considering it completely changes the moveset/movement and all we saw him do is move left and right.
There are no 2D levels idk what you're on about. There's 2D sections in the Act 2 levels but they're still in 3D. SGF Bullet Station showed tons of 3D and that was Act 2 and recently a new screenshot of a Kingdom Valley level came out which was also in 3D and nowhere to be found in Act 1.
