@@AtelierGod Shadow wasn't complete until the last battle so yes it does, Shadow most likely was at a point strength wise where Doom didn't have control of him anymore and this was also symbolic showing Shadow is no longer chained to his past literally and figuratively

I liked this level design a lot. The Egg Fleet had such cool designs in it and the exploration around it was really solid. I'd say the weakest parts were the repeating ones, but still pretty solid! (It's not like Sonic Team aren't guilty of it themselves.)
Looks great! I think the rails could be smaller and maybe having shadow exploding more of the egg fleet as he progresses through the level would be nice additions
I think some improvements could be made to this mode, on grind rails the camera could be altered to have a different perspective so that hazards aren’t out of view, and the hit box for the ring at the end needs to fit the ring diameter.

I liked some of the enemies and the adaptation of the look,especially the thick grind rails.The stage looks nice but the level design still leaves some things to be desired. It feels repetetive, which is very clear at the very end of the stage when we see the exact same section again and i mean EXACT same. Also there have been too many of the beat up Black Arms which should be less, since they are supposed to be something special. And for a good amount of time the stage is mostly a strictly forward course. (Forces Flashbacks) Maybe some Additions like exploring the inside of some Egg Fleet Ships would have been nice. Oh and at one time the spike balls which you have to dodge juscan t not be seen, which is a gamedesign sin. I hope its clear what my critique about this level is. But its a start

This feels very empty compared to the actual heroes level, not fair at all to judge the original level based on a remake for a completely different playstyle. Adventure style with an emphasis on combat vs boost formula with a complete lack of combat.
@jelloistasty That is completely true. Except i don't get the "emphasis" on combat. The point of the combat is to add another obstacle as well as add opportunity for leveling. Which in turn helps get through them faster and increases your score at the end. Overall, the amount of forced/mandatory combat encounters in Heroes takes up less time than all mech stages in SA2. The emphasis in those games is still going fast and doing things as fast as possible, combat included.
@FirstName_LqstName the enemies not dying in one shot, and encouraging the use of different strategies to deal with them (like the turtle bots or pawns with shields) is an 'emphasis on combat'. Emphasis doesn't mean that's what the whole purpose of the game is, I'm simply saying they gave combat a more prominent role than it had previously.
the level itself is very good. unfortunately, it didnt cut to Radical Highway halfway through, so now I'll have to deem it unplayable
