Something I find really funny about the sonic community is when a new sonic game comes out they make a mod to turn that game into a previous sonic game.
jokes aside, I think a lot of it is because the new games leave behind a lot of cool stuff in favour of focusing on brand new concepts. we always ask ourselves "what if it had all of it though?"
an example is the frontiers code that adds trick animations back to the homing attacks =]

I don’t play mods, mostly for a combination of not having many PC games and because despite how many times I’ve had it explained to me by friends I can never seem to figure out how this kind of thing works. It’s always fascinating to see what the modding community comes up with to create a more personal experience in the game
You nailed it with the last part! Refreshing Gamebanana has become apart of my weekly schedule at this point. It's almost as fun as official releases.

Give it another decade and imagine how many advancements will be made to the modern community in generations.
I wonder how difficult the delisting will make this though. It might artificially weed out some talent considering a lot of Sonic fans are from regions where games (by extension bundles) are too expensive

That is a possibility, but I think we need to wait and see.
I mean, sonic origins didn’t stop the modeling scene for Sonic 3 A.I.R
When the QTE prompt shows up, I wish there was a different option alternative way of doing it where it only shows one button prompt at a time.
Because typically the unleashed prompts show all five prompts left to right all at once, but it would be cool to see only one at a time.
And it would be cool to have unique sound effects for each prompt and unique camera movement after hitting each prompt and a quick little animation sonic does after each button prompt!
so that way it sort of combines the generations tricks with the unleashed QTEs into a new third option.
I like that it shows every button so you have an opportunity to do it as fast or slow as you want + it gives me a sense of urgency
It would be cool to only see one button at a time like the Night QTEs though! Maybe specifically for bosses somehow

Same! It has a lot to enjoy on its own from art direction to gameplay, but the modding scene has to be one of the most iconic.
Now we need online multiplayer in the style of what sm64-ex coop does and we have double peak of generations content to look forward to

I know exactly what you mean! The amount of regular springs placed in these levels to make up for the lack of tools at the time is funny to think back on
Someone is also working on implementing the werehog gameplay into Generations.
Which means that soon, we will turn Generations into unleashed.

Wow, I actually didn't know unleashed QTE's weren't is base Generations? Also, I can't be the only one who thinks this but, doesn't this feel like one of the old channels that you used to watch when you were younger? It's probably the highest compliment I can give, but I genuinely can't describe the channel any other way, it's just cozy. Take Titanic Monarch playing in the background of Eggmanland as an example, it just fits, and the commentary sounds so unscripted, raw and genuine. I honestly can happily say I fully support Dolphyn. (I will hopefully be commenting more in the future to push this in the algorithm, also the drawing of silver looking demented during QTEs is hilarious)

I have never played Sonic Unleashed in my life, just the Unleashed Project. But now that we have the whole Unleashed experience in Generations, I will finally experience the same anxiety that the people who did went through.

This is gonna make the game way more challenging, cuz I argue that the unforgiving QTE’s is what made the latter half of Unleashed so difficult.
So, are the QTE’s randomly generated? Or are they set for certain sections?

Hey is there any mod to cram Unleahsed Project, Gen Levels and DLC levels into one?
Switching in the mod launcher feels kinda immersion breaking, which is why I stick to unleashed.
Not that I know of. Some of the adventure packs include the regular levels though
