How to draw water in graphite | Photo realistic Swan drawing

In this tutorial I'll show how to draw water in graphite. The tips & techniques I share can be applied to drawing any kind of water - waves or calmer waters. Depth and contrast is key and this is achieved through layering. The layering process, like when drawing fur or feathers is what makes a huge difference. high contrast is also vital but that can only be achieved in the layering process is right. If it's not then everything lacks depth and realism. By focusing on one layer at a time we can make a challenging element like water far easier to tackle =).
