I encountered a problem at 3:07 where selecting the UNetbootin option essentially reported Windows was knackered. Anyone else encountering this, don't panic. Windows is fine! Press Esc to enter the UEFI settings, right arrow to the Boot menu, down arrow to the first boot option and set it to UEFI OS. Finally, right arrow to Save & Exit, then follow the rest of the instructions on the video. These settings can be changed back later, although it doesn't seem to be necessary.
@@MrFlame10 Sorry, I don't normally use Windows at all and I've never seen Win11. Just needed help because the laptop I bought recently came pre-installed with Win10 and I wanted to get rid of it. I would think the process is likely the same for both?
@@kalomaze1912 Maybe try the boot settings you do have in your BIOS until you find one that works? Just remember to take a note of the original setting. Sorry I can't be of more help, since each BIOS is slightly different from others.
IMPORTANT TO READ: Before doing all of this, if you have secure boot on, make sure to disable it, Windows 11 has it on by default so you might wanna check the BIOS/UEFI and disable it from there AND enable legacy mode. But thanks for the tutorial :D
@@finnaYT Your laptop won't brick dw I'm saying this because Windows only allows microsoft-certfied drivers when booting in secure boot, however, linux installations may use non microsoft-certified drivers, even though they're safe, so Linux installation will brick when secure boot is on, that's why it's required to turn it off. Also Linux only supports Legacy mode so that's why it's also required to enable Legacy mode Your laptop will be fine dw

Go to update in the settings and go to recovery and restart
