It is compact, versatile and does not require a ton of steel. I would hope companies like rogue, rep, elieko, prime etc, would consider making a more robust version. I suspect there is a big market for a well done version of this. This may even be an opportunity for one of the smaller strength companies.
I have 4 options for pull-ups on my rack...but I watch cus of COOP and seeing what low cost options are available...thanks for listening to the community!
@@jayyy4491 Brian Alsruhe has a great video series on sand bag training. I use sandbags mostly for things like bag over bar, bag to shoulder or simply sandbag carries for distance. They're compact and can get real heavy so I find they're a great way to include heavy resistance training without using a barbell
I had their power tower and adjustable bench they sent me. They also offered to pay for a video review. It was honestly so poor quality I told them there was no way I could do a video in good faith as it would be a blood bath.
@@HoerigStrength There's a good chance he didn't, but obviously affiliate links can help. Some reviews are just tough b/c you want to appeal to all audiences (so budget reviews), but also not burn bridges by just being overly negative (like myself). This is why I watch a bunch of reviews as everyone has their own take.
I got the flat bench as well as this pull-up station. Both are absolutely sufficient and a great deal. It's all about personal preference. If you compare to basement Brandon who individually gets paint jobs done on machines to get it all white, dumps 2000$ worth of plates because rogue released a new plate design he likes better etc... Well don't buy this sufficient stuff but rogues top dollar stuff (which is not worth it to me!). PS: die Bank ist schön leicht und kostet hin und wieder immer noch 50-60 Euro .
This is the exact type of product I would have liked to know about when I was building my BUDGET "cheap as I could" home gym. Please show a multi function adjustable bench next.
I just bought this few days ago. And bro this is the best purchase ever it worth all the money! Idk why the guy complaining about the product but for me it's all WORTH IT. Just a tip the wall ball try to buy another one that is more stronger that's all! Other than that the product itself 1000/10.
A pull-up option for those with limited or unique space that many probably aren't aware of is purchasing a Rogue 2x3 strip, and then the Rogue Infinity Kid's Pull-up Bar. This allows the bar to come out of the wall perpendicular, fitting in space you might not otherwise be able to. It is also height adjustable, depending on how long your 2x3 strip is. I have seen review videos with the bar loaded up to 500 lb without issue. I personally have never had issues - though I'm only about 175 lb. It's just a straight bar, so not much versatility there (also can't use a really wide grip, limited to standard) but benefits for certain space configurations, the ability to quickly remove it from the wall, and height adjust (which can also be useful for other exercises, e.g. involving pulleys).
Good idea, I am about to mount two 3" x 3" Monster Lite strips to my wall to have a permanent dip station that I can also move up to do wide pull-ups on and separate from the rack.
Thank you Coop. As you said I always wondered why companies didn't offer more versatility with their equipment in a more premium package. They cater to home gym owners too... Like for example I have a 3x3 11 gauge body solid rack with a 200 pound plate stack low high pull and I can load more on the weight horns... Had this rack for many years because of the versatility and it's selectorized it took years for anyone one else to peak my interest for convenience and desired weight (rep with ares)... besides powertec and Force USA no one is doing it now. Force USA is 12 gauge and powertec has a weird dimension making attachments hard.. Same with benches all the cheaper light duty home benches have leg curl leg ext attachments but no one offers that on more premium bench model... If you have a decline attachment you should also make a leg curl and ext attachment but no one does.. we shouldn't have to compromise quality for versatility but we do constantly...
@5:40 the great thing about these reviews is we learn about the product. The bad thing is.....this company might go and raise the price to $199 since it's selling more
I've wanted this thing for several years but lived in an apartment, so could not install it. But now I have a house a finally got it. I also held off buying it because I was hoping one of the big companies like Rogue or even Titan fitness would come up with a better version of this, even if the cost were higher. On that note, I emailed Rogue over a year ago telling them about this exact product suggesting they make one because I wanted it to be high quality, and not buy something made in China. I never got a response from Rogue.
When I brought it the thickness is more than 4 inch, the standard outdoor ones are 1-2inch but thanks to thank my grip strength is superb. Normal bar 18+ reps 4inch thick bar 12 reps max, I usually do sets of 5-8reps. It's tough but worthwhile
Absolutely feel the same way about benches. The lack of multifunction options from big name companies, like Rogue, Rep and Titan, is really surprising. There's nothing wrong with IM, Hoist or Powertec (and a couple others), but we'd all like to see bigger, quality multifunction benches from our go-to manufacturers.
Where I live, in the Philippines. This is only $39.99 USD. Basically that's all it's worth. I'm not very heavy so the steel rails shouldn't flex to much. 🙏
Brilliant video! Great review. I just replaced an tunturi power tower and century bob XL punch bag with this one item! It does everything my tunturi power tower did and is much cheaper. It also has hooks to hang a punch bag from. So I ditched the Century Bob and purchased an inexpensive punch bag. Then I purchased some TRX style suspension equipment to hang from it and I can use my bands on it for various abdominal exercises. Also Amazon has a voucher for it, so you get it even cheaper! I have saved so much room in my gym with this one item.
what about adding a swiveling piece of wood in the middle that would remove the ability for the whole unit to unhook? it can swivel in a center bolt when needed to be in position to block the bar.
I bought a separate pull up bar and dip horns, both wall mounted and really high quality. Cost about 250 dollars. I don't think there is a market for a higher priced option of this thing, because the separate versions would come for the same price and u wouldn't have to chance from pull up to dip
If they doubled the quality it would be easy to spend $250 on something like that. Or if that was part of a tower gym or able to put on a squat rack that'd be so useful to a certain demographic
I have a cheaper one. Even though the brands making it are somewhat sketchy, I recommend this product 100%. It's totally worth it. Very solid, and stable.
I like this product and look forward to fully using it. I can lift it on and off the separate hooks. However, would like a pdf/paper on assembly. Please contact me if SOMEONE has this paper! This part should not be hard. Assembly for the bolts together.
i like how the way u show us and recomended this pull up bar , which is i think its a great tool for excercise, but may i ask if how strong the wall can hold the screw that attach on the wall ?
I’d absolutely buy a better version of that. I would put my maximum market price up to $450. Certainly could see Rogue or another high end company doing it for around that price point.
Big companies are not going to make a product that's multi-functional. They want to make separate pieces so you'll have to buy a pull-up bar, then buy a dip attachment, then buy something else etc. to make more money.
If I could've saved up the money, I would've LOVED one of these when I was a kid. I just used one of the really cheap ones from Wal-Mart that hangs in your doorframe All-in-all, this seems like an excellent option for most people
Yall are not gonna belive me but i use that bar for hack squats... Yall wanna get creative, i used to use it as a stand for the bar i use in bulgarian squats, but i figured its too dangerous

Nice. Just need a third horizontal board down the wall to support the bottom section when you have it in the abs position

I highly recommend self-drilling beefy GRK screws. They are rated for shear strength. Lag screws from outside countries use inferior metal

Because if they make multifunctional products you have no reason to buy separate products from them, its all for financial reasons.
I bought this exact unit around 3-4 years ago. A few things I would change, but I use it a few times a week for sure and it has held up very well.

This is also a good option for folks with limited space. I agree on a beefier version being preferred but you have to work with what you've got.

Got this sucker a year or so ago. This thing is a genius design. Got squeaky but friggin amazing deal.
I have a hard question for you, I need a muscle up, pull up and dip bar all in one, is it possible to get one?
that smooth neo soul at the end tho
I bought this and 10 minutes later this video gets recommended to me 😅
Do a video on the installation
Anything you would suggest to make this buy more safe? I mean how we can customise it for uneven movement?
Did that make holes in ur wall or is that just marks it made?

@Markinator83 curious have you mount the dip horns underneath the pull up bar or are they located on separate areas of the wall

Thanks! Great review… just ordered it, was thinking how to put it on the wall. Thanks for the idea
Looks great except for the dings you put in the wall when you lower it for your alternate “power tower” exercises.
I would not hesitate to buy one of these if there was an option like you mentioned, better quality and more secure!!
is it safe for muscle up??
You should add a border of wood on the bottom you can already see the damage to the wall

Wondering if you could review the adjustable pull up bar from atom/rpm.
What are the measurements of the wood you used to screw in the mounts to the wood which was screwed on to studs
Is there some kind of power tower rack attachment? Like dip horns with arm pads?
Great review Coop...thanks. I've been eyeing this unit, and your review has sold me. Gonna use your link and buy.
What do you use to install the stringer board on the studs? Is it just lag bolts with a wash?

How about the onetwofit folding power tower
Couldn't agree more! Rep & Rogue etc. need to get into this market ASAP. Thanks for another great video.
Seems a bit too expensive in the Europe, anyone knows cheapest place to get one? thanks
Higher end companies probably don't offer these cool things because higher pricepoint people have the floorspace for a whole rack
Question for you if was to buy wagon wheel plate from Rogue which would you buy?
Is there a place to request/upvote equipment reviews? Would love a review on the Aussie Pro Runner (supposed to be a cheaper version of the skillmill)
Hey Coop, have you tried the VKR 750? Looks to be a lot better made than most.
