It's a RE7R01A ( Jatco 7-speed auto) built by Import Performance Transmissions out of New Jersey. It's the model of transmission that came in the car. Rebuilt torque converter, upgraded hard parts, some proprietary machine work, and additional clutch discs and wear plates. Any other details you'd have to contact John Lombard at IPT.
How's the responsiveness when shifting manually? There is a delay on the stock units that I am told is reduced when probably built. If my vehicle wasn't the awd variant I think I would probably have done a ZF 8hp swap since this transmission ruined all other autos for me. Hell even awd I am still considering it though...I like the idea(only the idea) of a real challenge. Lol
@@SimplySteel the gains in responsiveness is quickly lost with the more power you put down. The more power I make, the less time I have to manually shift. Lol

How are you able to tune your ecutek yourself? My q60 is tuned by a tuner, but I would love to refine it myself. Is this possible?
I'm able to do it because I am a tuner. You would have to get a sub dealer's license to tune through an actual master tuner.

You do your own tuning? I tried to ask and EcuTek wouldn't even sell their programmable software to anyone but authorized dealers/tuners :(
