Hi Amy. Just came across your videos after searching bikes and mental health. At 62 and a carpenterI’m old enough to be from the suck it up era but last year….well! Heard that cycling helps so last November after a 41 year lapse I bought a bike. Four months on I’ve become a bike addict, even the delights of Zwifting lol, 2 stone lighter, fitter and exploring every inch of the New Forest where I live. Still struggle a little as we all do but my word what a difference a cycle ride makes. Thank you both for your efforts in posting your videos and thank you for brightening up the cycling world. Take care Clay
Ahh I’m so glad to hear that cycling is helping you and that you’re enjoying it!! Thanks so much for watching and I hope you keep enjoying your rides ☺️
I watched this earlier in the year and thought "10,000 miles! That's amazing! No way could I do that!" But eventually that turned into "I wonder if I could do that" and then "I bet I can do that!" and finally today: "I did it!" If you see this, Amy, thank you for the inspiration to go for it! Now for a 3 week nap!
I've just come back to the beginning to see when I first started watching your channel. In passing, I've never heard of Styrka Rice Bars, so I looked up the pronunciation - "[stir-kuh ] meaning strength in Old Norse." Live & learn
That's an awesome achievement, congrats. I was happy to achieve over 5k miles one year w/ work, overtime, and helping a friend keep his lawn care business going after he had a horrific crash on his bike. I know it's never too late to reach such a milestone because I have a friend who didn't start cycling until his late 60's. His first full year riding he did 7,500+ miles, but the next year he completed 11k. So to everyone else out there, it's never too late to set a goal like this.
Love your videos they are veru good👍👏👏 i love the yipiiii!!!!! when your going downhill i do the yipiii!!!!! to now as well😂😂😂 congratulations on your videos👏👏👏🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️
Very nice video. Happy new year to you and your husband. I really love your small country roads. Would very much love to ride in your country but would probably die because you guys ride the wrong side of the road 🤣
Wow no way this your 1st Video!! Navigated it like someone who has 10k followers. 10,000 miles in the year amazing. Look forward to watching your adventures over the new year, I'm sure you've cycled them but Yorkshire Dales is amazing Grassington, Hawes, Burnsall you'll have to check them out. Might even see you there.
You are so natural at vlogging Amy! excellent video considering this is your first video, please keep sharing your journey 😀I am targeting for 10k miles this year 🤞
Wow that's a great achievement on cycling that distance over the year. TH-cam recommended this video, probably as I follow other cycling TH-camrs. A great first video, I look forward to seeing future ones.
Hey Amy, can't believe i never saw your _first_ video until today. It was a good start. Also Kyle's cheese & mustard sandwich 🧐 sounds like a Wallace & Gromit snack!
10000 miles is phenomenal. Well done. The lanes between Measham, Market Bosworth and Polesworth are brilliant for cycling. Loved it when I lived there. Also, I expect you’ve found the sneaky way through Repton to the Peaks. I was surprised by how close Ilam is. I look forward to more videos on your channel.
I grew up in Leicestershire, not far from Market Bosworth, and used to love that area for cycling. Charlwood Forest was good too, but more challenging.
i don't know you, i do not know why youtube fed me your video, but for a first video, damn that's good. if you keep it up and keep learning this will be an awesome channel
Great video! Congrats on 10k! I hit 7,000 exactly on the last day of the year. I think I can get 10k this year. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Well done congratulations 🎉 I’m from Charnwood in Leicester and somehow was recommended this video on my feed, was trying to work out what roads you went on. Congrats on 10k for 2022🎉
Really cool first video ! And congrats for the 10,000 miles ! I ride only on a gravel bike but I have to say you really are an inspiration for me ! Looking forward for your next adventure! 😊
Absolutely not rubbish. My kind of video, actually; real people on real rides, which are totally relatable, and you can't beat that. I look forward to future videos. Subscribed!
Good first vid effort Amy. I follow you on Insta so thought i would take a look. 10k - That's an awesome achievement, congrats. Look to be going decent pace there too.
Amazing achievement on hitting 10k miles! The most I ever did was around 2700 miles a few years ago! This video has been a great inspiration! I've been wanting to create a cycling TH-cam channel, but never had the motivation to do so. After watching this I may finally give it a go!
Just about to start riding. Have the bike and venturing out for first time this weekend. This video has been a great inspiration for me not only to ride but to just take that first step into TH-cam also. Very natural and a great personality so I think you will do very well on this journey into content. Well done you and of course for 10K miles!
Crackin' first vid! Welcome to the world of Cycling TH-camrs! Thought to meself if you're from round here and judging by Kyle's jersey you must be, then gotta be worth a sub. Happy new year!. New follower...Nige 🙂👍🚴
Great ride and epic miles for the year! The nutrition bar is pronounced 'Sturker" and they re really good products. Look forward to seeing more videos from you. Stay safe on the roads. 😉
Wow, what a massive year, congratulations! Look forward to seeing more rides, also always interested to hear about nutrition and what homemade snacks are good for riding!
Don’t worry I was lit up like a Christmas tree…Kyle forgot his back light! Nightmare I had to cycle close behind him, won’t be making that mistake again!
My motivations are the scenery (so scenic route planning is a must for me!), having targets with distance, knowing that I’ll feel so good afterwards, time to myself and headspace…the list could go on oh and a nice meal at the end!
You know? most people who live mundane sedintary lives would say so what, you rode your bike that far. But being a life time cyclist I know that this is an unreachable goal by most human beings. Most people won't ride 20% of this distance in their entire lives or exercise in another way to meet the equivelant. I understand how incredible your achievment is. You have completed more exercise in one year (probably just in a few months) than the majority of the population on the planet. IMPRESSIVE You certainly won't need a walker when your 85. Keep this up and you will be still cycling at that age. That's one of the biggest reasons I ride. People save money for the future, but you can't enjoy it if you're sick.
Interesting to go back and see where it began ....
Grumpy other half, cafe's and glorious British weather!
😂
Excellent

Thanks so much 🫶
@@amy.cycling.adventures no problem. Just add a bit off music in b-rolls and scenic moments to spice it up☺️
Fair play. Congratulations.
Awesome achievement Amy well done,,,makes my 3200 miles just a drop in the ocean
That’s still a great mileage!!
Well done , what would you say is good for solo motivation on the bike
My motivations are the scenery (so scenic route planning is a must for me!), having targets with distance, knowing that I’ll feel so good afterwards, time to myself and headspace…the list could go on oh and a nice meal at the end!
