Seem a waaaay over the top project, a solution looking for a problem. Why use the Pi other than you needed to for your lecturer. A NodeMCU at 1/10th of the price would have done the same job.

It's funny that 4 people come to this ! Raspberry is useless, you can manage the whole system with a mega, a clone cost less than 10€. but if i would use a rasp i would add a live webcam on the site !

the automated part is great but the plants looked terrible lmao!.. nobody is going to want to do this if its not even effective lmao

get an ESP8266 for less then 10€ and get the benefit of a webserver with µCU capability :)
