What's your personal experience with the different Pete & Pedro Products? I really do like the clay, if you guys are comfortble with a slight price increase and you're looking for a good clay I would also recommend trying the Styling Clay from Toni & Guy which is one of my other favorites.
Kelvin, thanks so much for this! I have very similar hair/hair style to yours and your advice helped settle a number of questions for me. New subscriber here....
Thank you for this straightforward review. My hair is similar to yours (though I have an undercut with slightly less volume on top), and is also very fine. Actually, my hair seems to have lower density at the very front, which for my supple age of 23 isn’t the most confidence-inducing. So I’ve been looking for products and techniques to add volume in addition to growing the top. With a hair dryer, thickening tonic, and the clay, I think I can achieve styles to make me look better than I already have before. If God forbid I start to get a receding hairline in my 30s and 40s, I’ll likely have to get a jarhead cut!
Megatron118x yoooo man thanks for checking out the video I’m so glad you enjoyed it. And you’re right the proper combination of products let’s people like myself too achieve a range of style. My hair is so thin and almost lifeless I would say haha
Love the review! I quite like the Pete and Pedro putty for my hair length. That was an excellent insight though on the clay vs putty at your length because every so often I'll go that short.
Hey, I noticed you were using the Avedda thickening tonic in this video, When you applied the tonic you didn’t use a blow dryer. I always thought for thickening tonics, or tonics in general you should always blow dry to get the best results?
You’re 100% right for best results definitely blow dry. I have very thin and fine hair and I just found after testing it a couple times that even without blow drying it still seems to add just enough life to may hair. So I just personally like to mix it in with my product still :) thanks so much for watching!!
Appreciated Kelvin's video and review. My experience with Pete & Pedro Products is disappointing. I ordered salt pre-styler and putty because of P&P video which didn't distinguish between what type hair and hair style to use putty and which to use clay. I discovered per Kelvin's video that I should have ordered salt and clay instead, but that info was not in the P&P video. Started receiving email from Mike Levy about buying P&P products. I thought: who is this? When I searched for Levy, I found video from Aaron Marino saying he had stepped down from P&P marketing in July, 2018: I wondered why as I think that Aaron's personality and style are part of his great marketing. It had been a week and had not received my P&P order yet when Levy email came about buying more. I sent Levy an email that I would consider buying more P&P products after I received my first order and tried the product. Then I received an email telling me that many orders had not been delivered because of shipping problems and to let them know. I already had notified P&P. I finally received my P&P order. I think efficient and prompt delivery is part of marketing, as well as distinguishing which products are best for which hair and which styling. I have yet to see that from P&P.
Mick Slim hey Mick! I’m sorry I missed this comment I was just going back through my videos to see if I missed any replies. First thanks for checking out my video and thanks for leaving such lengthy feedback. I’m sure plenty of people will find it useful! I’ve been somewhat underwhelmed as I continue to use the product I really wanted it to be more but given what out in the market place I think this hair product does have some growing to do before it’s where it really needs to be. They get the job done at the very least though.
Jose Barrera I enjoyed the clay as well thanks for sharing your experience with the product and your hair type! So do you go for a shorter textured look??
Just a heads up P&P is a white label product. And u should use a fiber bro you have really thin hair I can see your scalp on your final style. Check out Nioxin it will help your thining hair.
Thanks for checking out the video brother! Ya, I've learned a lot more about the product since making this video. I've really enjoyed using clays actually as of late, I'm also familiar with fiber like products they work well for too 100% so definitely a solid recommendation I appreciate it! Also, it's not necessarily that my hair is actively thinning it's just very fine and the products here both held my hair in strands which as you said does make it easier to see the scalp. Thanks again for stopping by my channel man!
@@GQRS what would you recommend for someone with thick, coarse, kinky, curly type hair? I'm in the Military, so I have to keep a medium fade on the sides. But I grow the top down to about my eyebrows, and wear my hair flat/forward, and swept to the side. I'm currently using P&P Sea Salt Spray, and the Putty. I usually only shampoo twice a week, since I've been dying my hair from my natural blonde color, to dark brown lately.
@@Aus200 ..what's going on Austin for your type of hair brotha you should try blumaan cavalier clay its a lot stronger then a putty or paste and is made for thick curly hair like yours. And if your looking for a pomade to do a comb over I recommend uppercut deluxe Matt pomade its super strong hold for thick hair and has a great Matt finish. I hope this helped you brotha...👍
I got fooled into buying the putty by Aaron's extremely good salesman skills.. thought it was going to be the most amazing thing that's ever touched my hair. I HATE the consistency of the putty, which you pointed out.. it like seprates into chunks and falls apart when scooping it out of the can and the chunks get all over my hands and fingers instead of the product warming up and emulsifying. It's a nightmare to work with and not worth the effort. It should be a $7-$8 product at a drugstore.
Really appreciate you leaving your feedback Patrick! It's definitely not the right product for my hair type that's for sure. Even paired with other products that I use to help add life to my hairstyle the putty didn't perform as well as I was hoping it would.
Most wanted nah just have very fine hair and some products that weigh it down or cause it to clump together in strands can make my scalp more visible up front which is What you’re talking about I’m assuming. Maybe someday but right now hair is doing fine, thanks for watching.

Pete and Pedro clay is the best clay I’ve tried I have thick short hair and it just works
Jose Barrera I enjoyed the clay as well thanks for sharing your experience with the product and your hair type! So do you go for a shorter textured look??
Yes I do bro I go for a mid fade short combover like Conor McGregor does that’s the picture I show my barber but yeah the clay work really well😌
