- 2019 Inductees Phil Manzanera, Eddie Jobson and Andy Mackay of Roxy Music joined host Carrie Keagan on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame red carpet presented by Hilton Hotels and Citi. The band was honored with a Hall of Fame Induction on March 29, 2019 during the 34th annual Induction Ceremony presented by Klipsch Audio.

Bev Allen i wasn't a roxy music avid fan but my late sister was because of bryan ferry who found him very suave and sexy to her taste especially when he was singing
Phil is one of the most underrated guitarists ever.

Reading the comments, it seems that many people here think that the reason why BF is not in this video is because wants to be "alone in the limelight" or "dissociate himself from Roxy" and blah blah... To those people, I suggest they listen to his speech at the awards. He mentioned by name all Roxy musicians from all albums, then the musicians playing with them on the award night, then all other collaborators, managers etc. It was very long list. BF is a real gentleman, and it shows. We have no idea why he is not in this video.Maybe he had seen that interviewer earlier, and he wanted to avoid her. Maybe he was busy with something else. Who knows - and who cares?

Roxy Music was never widely recognized here, so to do this interview right they would need an older person preferably from Britain. Not likely to happen because money. She did know about as much as I do about them: not much.

Grats to Eddie. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame may be an illegitimate authority motivated by money rather than taste but it's still nice to see quality artists recognized.
Only musicians with the modesty and intelligence of MacKay, Manzanera and Jobson could get away with that. Where did they find the airhead? Appalling lack of knowledge and interviewing skills!!!

Was Carrie Keagan told not to know anything about the bands she was talking to? These are three legends and it's kinda embarrassing. John Taylor must be doing a face palm. How awkward.

If I had a chance to talk to Phil Andy and Eddie I could die happy!These guys changed rock and roll forever loudly proclaiming that it's okay to be a little different and a "little" talented.

Think her Roxy interview was embarrassingly awful?? Just take a look at her interview with Robert Smith of The Cure..I'm sure he wishes he followed Ferry's lead and pulled a no show..let the other bandmates handle it!
When Eddie Jobson mentioned some of the other bands he was in, I got the impression that she didn't have the slightest clue who they were. Bands that were all massively important as well. She sure knew Duran Duran though, who couldn't hold a candle to Roxy or any of Jobson's other bands.
Why Paul Thompson & Brian Eno weren't part of the induction ceremony is beyond me.
Paul Thompson is such a stud on those albums. Also John Gustafson. And John Porter on the earlier albums. Great, great bassists. And great bass lines were such an integral part of their sound. Why weren’t they part of the band? I never understood it.
I don’t think Eno would have come. Needs his own entry.

Eddie Jobson....one of the best musicians i have ever heard !! Take a look at the Jethro Tull concerts ( "A" tour )in which he played keyboards and violin, and you'll understand what i mean .

Roxy and Duran really aren’t that alike. It was more the fashion aspect not the music. In my opinion anyway
Out of the Blue and Both Ends Burning point the way to Duran Duran.
It’s mostly the fashion and glamour of it.
There’s a musical connection as well.
Duran Duran also took big cues from Chic.
Rio, Khanada, Girls on Film, Hungry, View to a Kill, New Religion, The Chauffeur, Do you believe in shame and other songs all have a strong Roxy Music influence. They are totally right in saying without Roxy, there would be no Duran. Very literally.

Maybe next time the RRHOF could get someone more intelligent who knows about the bands being interviewed. She really didn't seem to know just how insulting she was. My goodness, props to Manzanera, Jobson and MacKay for putting up with that.
