    I don't care at all about the drama side of things, the fact they both live their life openly through social media like this is enough to put me off anyway.
    The issue I do have though is the hoodie theft. If I lent it to someone or they took it and they kept avoiding me so they could keep it longer that just takes the piss. That being said, Kelly just wanted to talk about a dramatic story that happened, never named joanna, etc. Joanna is the one that wanted to escalate 100%, which leads me to lean more towards kelly. While its a very petty argument to bring in public, id be pissed off too. I'd confront my friend about it, but id absolutely end the friendship if it kept happening. Weird take, I feel kind of relieved after seeing this (evil) video, because it put things into perspective. Just imagining small arguments/issues with friends being shown to strangers gave me a visceral reaction. I would feel so pathetic and embarrassed because the people involved shouldn’t even care that much, so strangers having an opinion on our dumb silly life? Terrifying!

    I'd say the chances are about 90% that these girls got together and manufactured the entire drama for clicks. The boyfriend doesn't seem to have any identity beyond wearing an absurdly generic hoodie, so probably doesn't exist, and they both seemed to have pinned comments telling their viewers to check out the other girl's story before deciding, just to drive up engagement. The view count is so insanely high that most likely there's a really, really obsessive group of fans watching the videos over and over again to try to decide if they're genuine and who to believe if they are.

    I hate to say it because you're right and this is totally not at all drama that needed to go to the Internet Court of Opinion, but I get where all the attention comes from. I relate wayyyy to hard to the whole playing at being the girlfriend thing that the second girl seems to have done. I can't tell if this is genuinely a tactic to steal a guy or if it's just a way of like...soothing heartache cause you can't have the guy you want, but a friend of my boyfriend was recently doing similar (and arguably much worse) shit. I think some girls weirdly think it's this victimless crime because there's plausible deniability but at the same time it's weirdly obvious when girls do this? It's the whole "I'm his work wife" thing that also got talked about on TikTok.
    TL;DR the personal details and stuff is ridiculous but I think the interesting bit is the discussion it opens on boundaries.

  • @AnABSOLUTEBarbarian
    @AnABSOLUTEBarbarian 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    Hoodie drama is weird.
    In 2009 or 2010 a friend of mine I frequently visited had someone we both knew move out on him in the middle of the night. The guy left some mail and a bigger winter coat behind, so my friend gave it to me to give to him because we lived in the same town.
    At the same time a woman this guy didn’t really know but has a knack for inserting herself into other peoples’ lives bought him a jacket. It got stolen at some point or he lost there was even a rumor he threw it in a trash can because he didn’t really like her.
    But via Facebook we were corresponding about the jacket, meanwhile this woman and her friends created this entire narrative that I stole the jacket she gifted him because I was stalking him…it was insane. The jacket I had was like a utility winter coat our mutual friend gave me to pass along, not this special collector’s item thing she got. And I wasn’t trying to keep it, I was trying to give it back. At one point I considered throwing it away just to be done with all the drama but I did get it back to him.
    But jackets and social media can get to crazy levels of petty with people that have too much time on their hands…
    Proceed with caution.
