22:28 23:11 - To Sorin: WRONG PLACE. Its obvious that place where he placed component, is not the same place from where he took off this diode. I think there was no need to place diode on this place, as its marked with J. There are 2 pairs of 2 diodes. First one in pair died because connector orientation at moment of incident, I believe.
Shorted diode is shorted because it protected the device once, problem is resolved because damaged component is removed, not because the one that was added. I believe this port will have problems with some data communication in one orientation, sending video or maybe transfer of data, because of added component on wrong place.
24:07 - Its just that type of day... nothing goes as it should/can. Next day is totally different, faults being fixed expressly.
    PS.
22:36 - Moment when both components are out, clearly showing traces. (For keyboard experts that require extra explanation.)

@@adhicham8185 Good thinking but no, it doesnt work like that in this case. Look at schematics 23:10 . Two traces. Left upper side pads 2 and 3, have resistor, rotate it, right bottom side pads 2 and 3 have resistors.
Obviously not meant to install one diode only on single trace, out of 4...(without resistors).
