    Watching your videos is enlightening. My daughter almost died at two years old from multiple deadly issues. Since then she's remained sick and sensitive with SIBO like symptoms. It's like banging my head off the wall for three years. Who wouldn't love dr. M 🥺 Hopefully one day I'll find a team brave and knowledgable enough. I plan to show her your bravery and humour one day... Not giving up. Stay you ❤️‍🩹

      @@BartonellaBabe Snake oil miracle cures probably get more traffic, but there's something to be said for well-researched, well-edited information, too.
      One of the reasons I watch your videos, besides wanting to see something on the topic of my suffering by someone who suffers from what I suffer from but will make me laugh about it, is that you see a doctor at Cedars Sinai, and therefore have insight on what the world leaders on this are doing in their actual clinical practice.

      So sorry to hear of your IBS! It can be debilitating. It's definitely worth pursuing the SIBO test and then treatment with a doctor that knows what they're doing, if you're positive. And wow the history of cat scratch disease! Bartonellosis can also be debilitating, as I know too well. Hoping for better health for the both of us in the near future!

    Hi Jake! Do u have any infos on how to lower those freakin anti-vinculins? Ive heard about water fasts/prolon diet/LDN. Any other tips?

    • @BartonellaBabe
      @BartonellaBabe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So the team at Cedars-Sinai say that the best way to lower the anti-vinculin antibodies is to make sure you never get food poisoning ever again so they have some patients take rifaximin prophylactically when traveling out of the country. Over time, the antibodies may come down. Other than that, I am not sure what they have seen in clinical practice. Perhaps you can submit that to their next Q and A on Instagram: the mast program

    Hi Jake, I’d love to see you do a video on Methylene Blue for Bartonella. I have been encouraged by the research on it coming out of John’s Hopkins. A lot of people with persistent Bartonella are hoping this drug can help them clear the germ.

    • @BartonellaBabe
      @BartonellaBabe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Brian! Yes I have seen that research. I will definitely consider doing a video on it. In the meantime, Dr. M discusses it briefly in this webinar: th-cam.com/video/rYi4z1cFVcQ/w-d-xo.html

    I don't really have SIBO symptoms, for me it's more upper GI like reflux. I have reflux, GERD, Barrett's Esophagus, etc and have test negative for H Pylori. I also have chronic sinusitis and chronic fatigue. Nothing has helped me yet.

    • @BartonellaBabe
      @BartonellaBabe  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had severe reflux and GERD due to SIBO that resolved once I treated. There is literature linking SIBO to GERD. It’s possible that the gases relax the smooth muscle of the esophagus, allowing the contents of the stomach to back flow. Testing for SIBO for all three gases might be worth trying, if you haven’t done so already

      If your IBS is due to SIBO or at least partially due to SIBO, then treating SIBO will help your symptoms. To learn more about SIBO, I have a playlist on the topic you can find in the video description box beneath this video 🙂
