I've seen the signs for the Kokopelli Trail when I've ridden out in the Dome Plateau, Onion Creek, Top of the World area but never thought of riding the Kokopelli proper. We've ridden the exact same Onion Creek to Moab route you rode in this video. Great views for sure too! I take it that only a portion of the Kokopelli is motorized between Grand Junction and Moab? Now that the BLM Feds closed parts of Moab area maybe I'll get the chance to explore out this direction.
The portion of the Kokopelli trail near Fruita CO is open to bicycles, but not motorized. You have to start farther to the west. There are a few other differences between the motorized route and the bike route, but most of it is the same. The Dome Plateau section west of Hwy 128 is by far the roughest. Not particularly hard, but very rough with lots of sandstone ledges. The part from Fruita to Hwy 128 was actually quite a bit easier than I expected. There is gnarly long hill climb, but most is pretty easy and fast.
