This is a great video and advice! I started out buying whatever was popular and regret it. That delayed my progress and cost more money in the long run. Once I found what I performed best with, I didn’t even enjoy shooting my other guns. Now I’m selling those and building an “ecosystem”. Magazines, holsters, lights. All set up and work together. Because I found a brand and style that work for me, I have tons of magazines and holsters that are interchangeable. But I listened to people that told me “buy this or that gun”. Unfortunately, wait and do your research doesn’t sound as sexy as buying the new hotness.
Random video recommendation: I would like you to make a video explaining how to use a red dot for beginners, like what are the benefits/how to use it, things like that. Love your videos!
Man I just binged about a good hour or so worth of your content. Very informative material. I’m on the verge of starting my journey and your videos have been the most helpful. You definitely earned TF out my subscribe😂 Thank you keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for this video. I was able to put together a criteria that worked for me and now I’m narrowed down to my top 3 choices for my first gun. This helped me really weave out what I’m looking for. I’ve learned so much from your channel. 🙏🏾
Ya but the problem with that is a lot of y'all will sit there and talk complete crap about products you've never used in your life. Or will talk crap about something that you just didn't prefer. This gun world has a lot to do with preference and just because something doesn't work for you it doesn't mean it won't work for someone else. Like a lot of y'all will tell people a cheaper light is just complete junk (even if you never used it) because you might get out there and train everyday using the crap out your light so you need a real durable one, while someone else just needs one on a pistol they might want for home defense and don't train with like they're in the army lol.
Like I've had products on my channel that these people who never even used them will say "that's garbage it's gonna break after one range trip" 🤦🙄 and it's complete nonsense
Hey darius im a huge fan of your channel, not only are you super informative but one of my favorite things about your channel are your firearms and how you customize them. Pretty much every gun i see im always curious what your build is, and where to get the parts that you have on them. Just a suggestion but the build sheet for each gun you use with links to get the parts in the description would be so awesome!
Really like the videos, I’m an HK guy but it’s about time I get my first Glock. I tinker with EVERYTHING, so I want a custom Glock out of the box, with a ramjet, and a carry optic. Thinking something G45 based. How do you like the Zev?
If you like to tinker, opt for a gen3 glock and get it milled for an optic. Better yet look into different frames like p80, sct etc etc and get a gucci dagger slide. I do have a gen 5 and wish I had gen 3/4 aftermarket support.
I had the 43x mos and traded it + cash for a glock 19 mos. Oem capacity was nice and I threw in the glock performance trigger revision 2 in it. But honestly, if I had to do it all again, I should've just bought the m&p shield plus or 2.0 compact. Or walther pdp is high on my list.
@@dariuskincaid lol I'm still jungling. I like the canik, PDP , Cz and Smith and Wesson. So far It's a tie with my canik and PDP then Cz on what I shoot the best. I'm going to the range next week to make decision. The other ones will be range toys
i'm an over researcher with every hobby that i get into lol. i basically have the same process with everything. right now, i'm down to two options and i feel like i'll feel a lot more comfortable making a decision if i have an extra day at the range with both at the same time.
Honestly i wouldnt recommend a glock as someone's first firearm. For the price point, you can easily find a better shooter straight out the box. My top recs are - sw m&p shield plus with optic cut over 43x mos - m&p compact over glock 19 - walther pdp and shield carry comp as my top recs.
Speaking of biases, I was looking through your videos and realized I didn't see a single rifle in your thumbnails. Do you have rifles but just don't videos on em?
I do lol I just have a lot more to say about them than pistols and I haven’t figured out what I wanted to say first lol My current go to is my M4 idk it’s hard to let that platform go lol should be making a video on rifles sometime next week
Get a range ! Go shoot. The last 2 weeks I’ve been trying to go to the range once week and the first time I went I just wanted to put rounds through my Glock 19. I’ve had for a year and only had about 200 rounds through it maybe. Then the next week I shot my canik tp9 elite and I’m not a fan of it. I put almost 100 rounds through it but that gun just isn’t for me and I had that gun about 2 months and I would’ve never known that if I didn’t shoot. Absolutely great information.
Great advice. But in case all that isn't practical for someone out there, let's say you live far from a gun store, just get a Glock 19 if you're a dude or a Smith & Wesson EZ 9mm/.380 if you're a chick.
Idk. Some guys hands make the glock 19 look like a 43x, and in other hands it looks like a 34. 19 is a good starting point, but to say it would just work for every guy is a stretch. Same with the ez. My girlfriend for example does not like the multiple safeties, and the sig 365xl fits her hands perfectly. Everyone is different.

Excellent advice with detailed steps to assist the first firearm buyer. I wish there was a video like this when I started. Keep sharing.
Thank you! 🙏🏽
Great video my man! Good advice most gun junkies won’t follow and find out the same way you did😂 but this is the way if you can. Good stuff thx
I dont usually recommend what guns people should buy, I just recommend guns people shouldn't buy
Now this I can get behind I don’t mind doing that! 😂

Very good video wish I would’ve had this when I got into guns

Canik sc elite is amazing. 2300 rounds zero issues. My mc9 has had tons of issues right out the box. Elite sc I trust w me life
I love my SC never had any issues with it!
Absolutely-- a Fantastic video-- Thank You !!

TH-cam bans channels that link certain gun parts or websites unfortunately..
@@ethanbooysen7092 Rip, maybe he can just talk about his builds in his video then haha
What gen ramjet on the zev.

Nah bro keep doing your thing.

If someone tells you exactly what gun you should get, ask them what they carry. Very likely to be the same answer😂

I agree 💯 👍🏻

Right now it’s my Zev. Probably will be for the foreseeable future
