Is there any tutorials on creating some own custom digital dashes I have seen some cool themed layouts that play gifs etc is there any information or sources of information on how to learn this?
depending on the ECU, it may! its ECU specific however, some do some dont, some need to be wired up, others the stock ecu broadcasts it. DM us on FB/Insta if you have any questions

is there a way to make the shift light be the entire background colour? The only option i could see around shift lights were the small dots

How are you powering the screen outside the car while creating the layouts
You can use a 3 Amp wall charger to power the dash via the Micro USB or USB-C Port (Depending if you have a V4 or V5 Dash)
