I have done a few quilts with collages that turned out awesome. I just went for it. Today I am stumped. Got my pattern and fabric pallette ready, and am now second guessing my choices. Your video has inspired me to do the spiral so it becomes play again. Guess I got too serious about the process. Thank you.

This is absolutely brilliant. I love the rules of writing shifted to the approach of playing with fabric. Color, line, value. The creative process, be it visual or wordsmithing is parallel in approach. And wildly individual in interpretation. Thank you for the pep talk; I work largely in needlework and beads but, oh look, fabrics are creeping in as well. It all falls together in the end!

As an author of 3 novels, I like to clean my creative palette from writing to something new. As I explore fabric college, these quotes have really hit home with me. So much overlap with the creative process that I can apply from one to the other.

I made a couple small art quilts and love the results. Now I’d like to make a full size quilt for my son, a sea scape. Thank you for your teaching videos. I’m going to try the spiral exercise and other small things before I jump into the big one.

Ok I can’t find any videos that tell me this....is this glued down onto a canvas? How is it finished? Is it glued down or is it just done on fabric and you sew it? And if sewn how on earth do you do this without bits falling off everywhere.
