If you see Avacyn in the opponents command zone and you let them ramp quick enough to cast her and THEN cast planar cleansing, that's on you. You saw the forecast and didn't bring your jacket.

I used to play Mono White Angels, with this exact deck, then decided to build Liesa, so went Orzhov angels and just took what I needed from Avacyn. Then I decided to build Kaalia, and took my cards from Liesa. It turned itself into a monstrosity. I had almost every Lilliana in the deck. Honestly, it was a stupid build, but fun to play.

I jokingly told my buddy I'd build boardwipe tribal in response to his most oppressive decks. I have much to think about. 😂
Oh dont play avacyn. Play nevinyrral, urborg tyrant. He is literally boardwipe tribal. Get zombies for each creature you swept up from a board wipe and guess what? He is also a board wipe on dyung so dont forget to have an instant speed sac outlet and leave up a single mana to hold the game hostage to your demands. Dont forget to pack reanination spells so you can kill him, reanimate and get an army back for your efforts. Play his disc for extra flavour points. Oh also as an extra note he only cares about creatures dying not if they are creature tokens or not. Meaning if you have an sac outlet and murder all of your zombies then flicker nevinyrall you get them all back and potentially more if this is not the first time you did it.
I will warn you tho he is as much of a bastard commander as you think he is and will most likely cause misery (but if thats your intention by all means go for it. Have him as your scary "thats it im bringing board wipe tribal out" commander that you scare your fellow players into playing nice

I know this is more for a bit than it is a actual deck construction video but as someone who also hates himself by playing a mono white commander I would be admissed to not give some recommendations.
1. Lean into land sac/bounce: cards like Lotus Field, Karoo, and Guildless Commons are really powerful when paired up with cards like Weathered Wayfarer, Cartographer's Hawk, and Archaeomancer's Map.
2. Alt/repeatable Win-cons: Worldslayer, Pariah, and Angel of Destiny are all game enders with only a little board presents required for a win.
And finally 3. The only "good" card draw in white: Mangara, the diplomat, Loran of the third path, Platoon Dispencer are all repeatable and in my opinion the best draw (also Esper Sentinel if you have the cash)

It not every round as it requires you to sacrifice it. Indestructible doesn't prevent sacrifice.
That’s what everyone assumes. Go read the card again, it just says pay one mana, tap: destroy all creatures artifacts and enchantments

Joke is on you, I have had Avacyn since she first came out. I think I just might build this
Indestructible is easy to bypass, (yes as a commander she can be annoying) but there are so many cards out there that can straight up ignore indestructible like Farewell that exiles them and due to avacyn having a high cost to begin with if you keep removing her the cost will skyrocket, certainly difficult but not impossible. And in the end no one forced you to play against that person unless it's a tournament (in that case that's just bad luck), in the end don't hate the player, hate the card.

This seems like a spite video due to the amount of times you lost to Avacyn lol! With the amount of removal in the game I'm not too worried if I see an Avacyn commander deck. White rarely has any responses, but also it's the greatest thing ever if the Avacyn player responds with a Mana Tithe lol.
When you said the deck was expensive at $120 I died inside as a Yu-Gi-Oh player.
Ever since i started playing my Avacyn deck i was amazed with how many different things my opponents magically had to make use of to remove her from play. From making me have to sacrifice her, making her -X/-X, to literally bouncing her to my hand. i was only able to make Worldslayer connect twice but that was out of twenty games where at least in fifteen of them most of the time i board wipe, i also got effected. The problem i was having was more Avacyn has no redundancy for what she does and the entire deck is reliant on her being on my field. My favorite was my opponent gaining control of my commander (until end of turn) then sacrificing her.
I love Avacyn for a lot of reasons, but I love that Magic gives you so many options - especially with all the tools in Commander that you get - for dealing with a creature that should be an effective win the game button by being able to play her. You can use something like Banishing Light/Leyline Binding/other gay baby jail cards to remove her, any exile removal, -x/-x, forced sacrifice, bouncing to stop her momentum entirely, and - the bane of any commander creature - taking control of them, especially with blue's permanent take control effect, because there's not an easy way to get her back (not even an aura to remove sometimes...) I know there's a lot of rules lawyering in Magic that results from it having such strict logic but I think that the creative methods of removing her makes even losing while piloting her feel like "yeah you earned the win".
I think boardwipe tribal is probably the least interesting way to play her, but it's mildly funny and effective so it takes off. But in terms of creature design I find her fascinating, she's an 8 mana "i should win the game from here" card, but despite her protection of your board there's still lots of potential counterplay
As for redundancy you could add the artifact from new phyrexia block that makes artifacts indestructible. Also there's an angel that sacs to give your creatures indestructible. Also several 1-2 cost white creatures that sac to make 1 creature indestructible. Sorry I don't remember the names.
I just play big thick angels and leave the worldslayer or never-whatevers disk as a sub plot with a few tutors to get it like quest of the holy relic. If they see quest for the holy relic, and just let it happen, they deserve everything they get. I am telegraphing a turn 10 win on turn 2....
You gotta run a couple of the equipments that give hexproof. Avacyn makes them indestructible and they make avacyn untouchable except for edicts or mass exile cards.
All im hearing is "my friends played sucky removal until they figured out "destroy target creature" is not the only way to remove something" i used to fear avacyn players till i figured out the exile is better than destroy

Lmao. What a whiny video. I own this deck. It has 26 board wipes with several that can go off every turn. It's still way weaker than most 2 color decks with any level of combo or blue.
sounds like you play at a table with no interaction... if someone beat you using this, you might want to buy a pre con. it has better interaction then whatever youre playing.

another example of why winds of abandon is THE best board wipe PERIOD. i just won a game 5min ago where everyone conceded after i played it. i had such a dirty bastard of a hand: heroic int, vanquish the horde, winds of abandon, and clever concealment.

I had her built. Always rule zero asked the table if they were fine with me playing her. Always told them to try and win as fast as possible before I Avacyned. Fun games always.
She's also super nasty in a Kykar Polymorph shell.

@@tonysmith9905Doesn't matter what her tier is, Rule 0 is objectively the cool thing to do. Prevents any drama from popping up in game. If your opponent is cool with it during Rule 0, they won't get mad at it when you play it.
Only time Rule 0 doesn't prevent drama is if someone is lying, and at that point why play with them?
A few weeks ago I was like, "Hey, I loved that game as I was young a few centuries ago, let's give it a shot again, it was fun". And then I saw the state of modern Magic and noped out there fast.

@@brianmartodam1114 Turns out I am an i.di.ot. Ordered a Duskmourn play booster display box after looking through a box of old cards and found out that there are a few cards in there that are still playable. Found 4 Chao's Orbs, too, sadly banned.
If there is something interesting in that Duskmourn box I might play again.

Leyline of Antic.........PATION! drop some thopters, a few moxen, a Black Lotus, Dark Ritual, then finish it all off with Tendrills of agony and have a Flusterstorm to protect it just in case. I'll also probably have Spellbook in play and use mox sapphire to play Ancestral Recall while I'm at it.
All of that on your first turn at instant speed.

If you somehow don't have something to nuke Avacyn when she comes into play, you honestly probably didn't have any hope. Angel decks are high mana costs and get wiped so easily if they aren't allowed to establish themselves.
I had a high power Avacyn deck (because I luvs her), but she has been hit with multiple bans, this most recent notwithstanding. I don't want to give up on my girl. She is the whole reason I got into magic. I will like to use your list to help rebuild. I can't return what was taken from her but I don't want to retire her.
I play a staxy avacyn while i try to ramp into herm with artifacts and enchantments, stuff like arbiter are good...we don't need anymore big cards except wraths, land wraths (also ravages of war) and interaction/recursion. Worldslayer on avacyn for the win.

Ah to be young and naive again where this could be considered a powerful thing to do in edh... The format has a bigger cardpool than legacy. And Avacyn is a great card to help players learn that most removal in commander doesn't actually destroy things, have fun with Avacyn in the command zone and then getting her turned into 8 life, a forest, a 2/2, the top card of your library, or just straight up exiled for 0 mana 😅

There's this thing called a Quiver. If you didn't pack silver arrows for the werewolf, the loss is on you.
And this is a collectible card game, having more cards than your opponents IS an objective.
I think the thing that sucks most about avacyn is that it doesnt say nonland permanents. It includes lands. You cant even hit the avacyn operator with the funny red plains destruction cards

You don't need all those board wipes. You need Nevinyrral's Disk and keep paying 1 and tapping it on your turn to not allow your opponents to have any fun. That's how my friend from my LGS plays with Avacyn.

"$120 is not a budget deck." As someone who used to play a lot of Yugioh, that really stings.
There's SO MANY ways to deal with this though. Targeted exile, board exile, sacrifice, mass -X/-X, counterspells, ability erasers, indestructibility removals, ownership change, phase out, bounce...
lmao Armageddon and planar cleansing in one turn with White? maybe super late game, you are probably not ramping much with white, sure there are ways Nyx lotus comes to mind (tap for devotion to X color, or gilded lotus maybe ( tap add 3 of any one color ) or maybe phyrexian alter though sacrifice is not a huge theme in white especially when running angels. those are artifacts though and any color identity can run them without any real issue. you would have needed to play Avecen a turn earlier most likely because no comander game i have played recently gets to a point where the white player had 16 freaking mana sources. you would need a good list of cards on board to make it work
Step 1: Play Wizard commander deck
Step 2: Counter Avacyn or counter boardwipes
Step 3: Draw cards until I win
I take it one step further and play a Kaalia of the Vast deck.

In my playgroup my opponent combos off on turn one and I lose, so board wipes have no value. FUN! Unless I build degenerate counterspell.deck I lose. FUN!
Not only that I play Avacyn but I run around 25 to 30 bord wipes....including a Bord wipe monster
Its not like theres not ways to remove that arent destroy. Exile. Return to hand. Counterspell. Sacrifice. Its not hard.
Only 34 lands?? Even with 7-9 mana rocks, you need like 38 minimum to get smooth drops through turns 1-5

yeah you're right there's only stealing, bouncing, exiling, sacrificing, countering, blinking, -1/-1 stuff like toxic deluge, preventing (drannith magistrate for example), outvalueing, spellslinging, burning, protecting or enchanting (darksteel mutation and effects like those) that you can deal with this commander...
and i probably forgot at least one other way of neutralizing her

I've been thinking about putting an Avacyn's Momument in my Gallifrey Stands deck to protect all my Doctor cards. At least its not quite as bad as running this as your commander lol
I do play Angel Tribal with Shalai as the face commander. Still hateful, but in a sneakier fashion. Also green ramp go brrrrr.
Good thing we were given shay Cormac from creed who just let's us remove hexproof, indestructible, ward, protection and shroud from all our opponents permanents plus he comes out as early as turn 2-3

Lol I built that deck out of spite for one of the regular players at the table. You know they F'ed up once Avacyn hits the table. Quit playing Thoracle combos Chris!!!!!!
I actually have an Avacyn deck with Nevinyrral's disk. People hate it
