Death's shadow would be amazing in this deck, laboratory maniac would also be thematically amazing but only good if you're facing a mill deck (sideboard).
I did a similar deck with Lesha. Called it Life Hurts. VERY fun deck that wins rarely but can survive for a surprisingly long time with 0 win con (I once activated a different can't lose effect 5 upkeep in a row and had 5 creatures/effects keeping me at exactly 1. Still lost cause they got Orrery out and could flash their win con...)

I seen the picture of Platinum angel on the thumbnail on my feed, just wanted to say years ago I won a tournament with my Eldrazi deck with that creature at like -120 health. Last opponent in tournament had no way of dealing with a flying creature. Funny because I remember their deck going so fast I had like 1-2 hp the turn before and managed to get enough mana to cast the Angel.
Just seen thisbcomment again when it got a like, wanted to add because I randomly remembered it when this came up, he did manage to have a way to kill the creature, but I had the card "Not of this world" which I usually saved to protect eldrazi, but it came in clutch to make sure the angel stayed out.
I was teaching a buddy of mine how to play Magic the Gathering online, and he picked it up unnaturally quickly. The first night we played, after a few games, he wanted to try and build a deck by himself and play it against me. I said "sure, why not" and let him do his thing for like hour. The deck comprised of all the most broken shit he could get his stupid grubby hands on-Platinum Angel, every Mox card, Black Lotus-the whole nine yards. I, for my part, was playing a budget casual deck built around getting Nicol Bolas on board and slamming opponent with his abilities. I ended up winning at something like -250 health by stealing one of his Angels, and drawing enough shit to actually get him to zero and killing his own angels.
I made something with the same concept 4 or 5 years ago with Zur, the enchanter at the helm. He can fetch Phyrexian unlife and Necropotence to set yourself up to 0 life points. it can also get Greater auramancy in case you used Lich or the likes to drop your life to zero so you dont immediately lose to 'destroy target enchantment' the deck which was supposed to be a gimmick ended up extremely oppressive once i tuned it up.also the best wincon was 'Repay in Kind' in my own list.
I have an orzhov deck with a similiar theme which is actually pretty strong. The big combo is Angels grace to stay alive, ad nauseam to draw most or all the deck, mana ramp into Skirge familiar for more mana ramp, then win with either repay in kind, exsanguinate, or torment of hailfire.

Well, there are "some" problems with this deck but otherwise, it looks pretty sound. The things you will want to watch out for: blue decks. negate cards and counter cards will destroy your only means of making your "unable to lose" card invulnerable. They can also counter the "unable to lose" card itself. Return to hand does the same thing. Cards which can destroy lands (there are very few but they exist); cards that can swap or steal permanents (also very rare); plane (I forget the name of the deities) that have instant win conditions. White decks: banish cards are common in white decks and can often be used on any permanent. FTK and wombo-combo decks...there are A TON of powerful commanders given you can play just about any card in the game with this feature I think that's it. Happy destruction!
Thats what i thought too when i started to think about a "you cant loose" deck so i added a lot of stuff in the "hexproof" and "protection from" area with added cards that copy/share this abilities. And of course counterspells. So the result is more a "bring whatever you want i will hopefully surrvive it" deck. I call it the "The seven shells of protection". Hexproof for player is key.
Red has like twenty treason effects, some permanent, usually at least one is standard legal. Blue has just as many, most of them permanent. Creature stealing is very common.
@ not "creature" stealing, "permanent" . permanents include: lands, artifacts, equipment, planeswalkers, creatures, (I think tokens are excluded but not sure), pretty much anything that does not remove itself from the board after use.
@ You can steal permanents, they just disappear when switching zones, because anything entering a new zone is a new game object, and tokens get destroyed when they would become a new object. Thats why blinking them also destroys them.
When i was making my Wizard blue deck, i had this funny combo with tunnel vision, mind over matter and toromods crypt. I fu***ng loved the way how you could have just looked at entire players library and next play just name a card and exile half of their deck essentially with toromods crypt pretty much immidietally. When i searched my own library however, it was good to pair this shit up with Psychic Spiral for uno reverse onto another opponent, and then toromod them back XD
I remember making a deck whose sole purpose is to keep the game going forever. It contains Platinum Angel (you can't lose the game and your opponents can't win the game) and Abyssal Persecutor (you can't win the game and your opponents can't lose the game). Its entire goal is to keep those two cards on the board the whole time.
One Personal thing I run for mana is Chromatic orrery and Horizon stone. It doesn't always last super long but it helps for a while. Just tap all your mana generations before your next upkeep and keep it all and keep doing that forever.
Well as dished out the money and I did have some of these cards and I played the game and it was actually doing so well. My friends decided to ban the deck which has only ever happened once and now I am on a two week suspension for playing magic

there's also the jace planeswalker which might be the reason on the lich. i saw draw on how much life you gain. you run out of cards with the jace planeswalker out. you win. i forgot how it worked.
Jace weilder of mysteries from war of the spark, has a static effect that only a few cards have, if you would draw out instead of losing the game you just outright win, it only has a +1 and a -7 but both just say fuck it draw cards
I don't play Magic but something resembling this is actually one of the best decks in goat format (2005-era) yugioh. That one is called Library FTK and works by activating Archfiends Oath with the decks flipped face-up again and again and again to burn yourself to near 0 and draw your whole deck; then you use Reversal Quiz to swap them and Black Pendant to burn for game. Its very inconsistent, but since goat format has no handtraps (counterspells); if you go first and can do the combo you autowin. if you can't do the combo, you just stall with Level Limit. And if you go second, you hope they don't have traps.
back in the day "ie in 2005 era" used to be a black/white deck that did the same thing kinda.. in short it was a combo where you used pestilence "may have been pestilence rats", and everyone lost life.. if you could do it for enough to kill the highest life on the table "yes this was used in multi-player games a lot", everyone was basically dead... the trick to the combo, and i forget the combo, was to have a card that let you gain life in the amount of the pestilence damage... so basically you still had life points at the final resolution phase....
I'm fucking extatic. In my mono black deck i use magus of the mirror as a plan b if my main combo doesnt work. i add insult to injury by using abyssal persecutor and then smuggling it onto my opponents battlefield with fateful handoff. It's fucking glorious, making my opponent control the means by which I can't lose the game lmao.
How are you able to swap life totals multiple times with soul conduit and Axis of Mortality? Would you be one of the targets? And then so one player would go to zero life and then you would go to whatever life they were at. So if u swapped another player with the player who had zero life they wouldn’t be able to be a target anymore? I’m confused how this would work
There's a pair of trees that swap life right. Green tree Redemption, I know there is a black one too... They're fun to screw with if you can manipulate their toughness

In any deck that’s 3+ colors, I always recommend running chromatic lantern. Its nice to no longer have to worry about your land color

there's also the jace planeswalker which might be the reason on the lich. i saw draw on how much life you gain. you run out of cards with the jace planeswalker out. you win. i forgot how it worked.
Jace weilder of mysteries from war of the spark, has a static effect that only a few cards have, if you would draw out instead of losing the game you just outright win, it only has a +1 and a -7 but both just say fuck it draw cards
I like the mentality of being a blue player and not deciding to ruin peoples fun. But thinking of it a responsibility to do so.

I dont play magic but this sounds absolutely genius. Probably awful competitively but M E M E
in commander theme, it's somewhat decent but has a lot of exploitable weaknesses, mostly blue and white decks
I don't play Magic but something resembling this is actually one of the best decks in goat format (2005-era) yugioh.
That one is called Library FTK and works by activating Archfiends Oath with the decks flipped face-up again and again and again to burn yourself to near 0 and draw your whole deck; then you use Reversal Quiz to swap them and Black Pendant to burn for game.
Its very inconsistent, but since goat format has no handtraps (counterspells); if you go first and can do the combo you autowin. if you can't do the combo, you just stall with Level Limit. And if you go second, you hope they don't have traps.

You're missing Ad Nauseam which both lets you draw cards and hurts you.
Maybe add a Great Hall of Starnheim for another angel-creating land?

back in the day "ie in 2005 era" used to be a black/white deck that did the same thing kinda.. in short it was a combo where you used pestilence "may have been pestilence rats", and everyone lost life.. if you could do it for enough to kill the highest life on the table "yes this was used in multi-player games a lot", everyone was basically dead... the trick to the combo, and i forget the combo, was to have a card that let you gain life in the amount of the pestilence damage... so basically you still had life points at the final resolution phase....

I'm fucking extatic. In my mono black deck i use magus of the mirror as a plan b if my main combo doesnt work. i add insult to injury by using abyssal persecutor and then smuggling it onto my opponents battlefield with fateful handoff. It's fucking glorious, making my opponent control the means by which I can't lose the game lmao.
I had a bazaar trader, eternal coil, bojuku bog deck that was a lot of fun back in the day
How are you able to swap life totals multiple times with soul conduit and Axis of Mortality? Would you be one of the targets? And then so one player would go to zero life and then you would go to whatever life they were at. So if u swapped another player with the player who had zero life they wouldn’t be able to be a target anymore? I’m confused how this would work
Where's that nicol bolas fortress or something card. That one where you can pay life instead of the mana cost of the cards in your top deck.
There's a pair of trees that swap life right. Green tree Redemption, I know there is a black one too... They're fun to screw with if you can manipulate their toughness
I use both trees in wall deck and they would make a great addition since the green one could get the player down to 13 really fast lol.

Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite+Kormus Bell+Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is a great way to alternate win for a deck like this. No mana for anyone but you.
