Many years ago we had a cat named Boots who loved to be vacuumed and would follow me around while I was vacuuming until I vacuumed her! She also loved water and would get into the tub or the little wading pool with the kids. She lived to be 19. Miss her!
Yes, our cat Greybear loved to have the hand vacuum come over him and wasn't afraid of the noise at all, after he felt how good it was to have his fur cleaned with it.
I don’t know what it is about extra-large diabetic tuxedo kitties, but we have one equally weird. Cedric *begs* for his insulin, not because of the stinky moist food we provide after for all five felines but because he wants intense belly and back scrubs for several minutes after - and can’t understand when you stop. Then - and only then - will he wander over to see if the other monsters have left him any scraps. He also chews the air noisily when happy, and insists on sleeping between our heads - but on my pillow. He’s 13 and still going at life with as much joy as he did when a bitty thing. Most of our cats have lived into their late teens to early 20s (including another odd diabetic kitty… so odd!), so we look forward to many more years of Ced’s antics. Love your channel - so much!

My constant companion for over 10 years passed away this summer. She was already over 10 when I adopted her and she was one of the older cats that don't get adopted because everyone wants kittens. Not a lap cat and lord help you if you picked her up, but she was always here and now she's not. I cannot even go near the pet food aisle or I'll start crying. Like I am right now. "It's only a cat." We know the owners of the cat that tried to do that with us, but we didn't let it happen. 4 months later, he moved into a little old ladies house, so we missed out 💔 We thought it was unfair to steal the other owners cat, but he was leaving either way. He still goes to his previous owners for food, but doesn't stay long (they got a new kitten, I think he found it too crowded.)
My Elementary band teacher basically always has at LEAST 7 cats at one time. She can't have children unfortunately, and ended up keeping animals. Over time she just became very close to cats specifically, and takes in a lotta strays and shelter kitties, especially special needs ones. She has one that partially feral that stays outside (within the boundaries of her yard) named Panther who has some sorta autoimmune issue (being around the other cats would be dangerous for him inside, and he's more used to being outside so the change in habitat would be stressful for him), and that plus the being mostly feral makes it so that he'd basically be euthanized if put in a shelter. She also had two twin kitties, one of which had some sorta specific illness or something that meant he probably wouldn't live very long, so she kept them at her place so they could both live a good life for however long that one would live. I believe only that one passed away. A few times over the many years I went to that school she took days off of teaching because her older kitties were sick, or one of them had to be put down. A lotta her cats live to 11 or more if I remember correctly, unless they have some sorta other issue. I remember one year she was taking a lotta time out of teaching after wrecking her leg because she literally tripped on one of the cats who was appropriately nicknamed "speed bump" because he often laid across the middle of the walking paths in her house, yet she'd always come back with cute stories of that one cat just being like "ow moooooom why did you do thaaaaaat!" While she was on the ground with a very injured leg. By God she loves her kitties. My last year at that school she'd taken in a tiny calico kitten she'd found out near a road in a grassy field area. She'd gotten out of her car to investigate what it was and the lil kitten raced passed her and hid up under her hub cap. She had to reach in and try to pull the lil kitty out! Her husband hadn't wanted another cat but when she presented the teeny calico kitten to him he just fuckin mELTED because she was so precious. Poor baby most likely got seperated from her mother after a storm that had happened prior to then and was stuck out there. They got her spayed and vaccinated and kept her, and she ended up becoming the tiny boss of the household! BSBENNSMXKKDJS forgive me for this rant I just love talking about that teacher, she was always very sweet and loves animals a lot.
That's actually very true. All the cats that came to us and self-adopted were all chill cats. A little bit too independent if I might add, but all very cool cats, that would let you rub their bellies without a single complaint.
Yeah. We went to the RSPCA to get a couple of kittens many years ago. One little furball ran up my leg and body and landed on my shoulder. He stuck his little head against my neck and started purring. 18 years later he was still happy and affectionate, but he needed daily drips to keep him hydrated. He sat quietly while I stuck the needle into the scruff of his neck and turned the flow on. After 15 minutes, he was still placid and patient. I'd take the needle out, give him a cuddle and he'd lick my face, curl up and purr. He was a lovely cat.
I love that he was so tolerant. Like: "Yes please do it all. Pamper me." He didn't even meow when you clipped his toes. It was so adorable, and this coming from a staunch dog person. He's so handsome too.
It's clear that Hank is secretly Persian inside. He gets his bath. He gets floofed. He gets some cologne. It's time for a night on the town in his designer built-in tux. Why would he ruin a good thing?
Hank’s tolerance for water is amazing! Before i was born, my parents had a dog named Jane and a cat named Daisy. On trips to the beach, Dad would go swimming. Jane would jump in next, followed by Daisy, who didn’t want to be left behind. Absolutely fearless!

Happened with my grandpa a long time ago. The family adopted a young German shepherd. Three day he didn’t even looked at her… than he took her for a long walk. Then she was his dog for 14 years
My dad was like that. Never wanted pets in the house, and my mom kept begging for a cat, because me and my brothers have all moved out and they were lonely. My dad kept rejecting the idea until they found a little kitten. When they took it home, my dad was furious, wanted nothing to do with the kitten… 2 weeks later, my dad won’t shut up about the cat, calls is cute names and spends every second with the little guy, haha I’m happy for him, because I haven’t seen him this happy in years.
Happened with my dad. Not only did he not want to get another dog after our big poodle passed, he, and I quote “Absolutely did NOT want a Schnauzer. Vanessa! It's so nice to see a kitty loving his groom session instead of trying to claw and bite you unconscious! Hank has an adorable personality! Meow meow -- or rather, Mew Mew! 😺😼😻🖤🖤🖤
I don't think my dad wanted a cat, but I also think he didn't really care. And while he doesn't cuddle with him nearly as much as the rest of us do, when I see him with the cat, they both seem really relaxed and happy so I think my dad actually gives the best cuddles according to our cat haha. Quality over quantity I guess🤷♀️
That's usually because the "Dad" know it will be another trauma when the little thing will leave the world. And "Men" try to avoid suffering, may it pass by appearing blunt.
It seems like Hank (all though a senior) displays a lot of kitten-like habits. He lifts his leg so that his mother (in this case, the blow dryer) can clean him up. It's not unusual but it's definitely, as you said, hilarious.
Hank needs to offer classes to all the other felines you groom....they could all sit quietly and watch how relaxing being groomed can be.. Especially Marmalade! 😊😊 Hank is a sweetheart.❤
Hank is such a wonderful cat, I'm heartbroken that he's diabetic, but it looks like his owners are extremely attentive to his health and well being, and he's living a good, happy life.
@Mischie13 Adams Not sure. I know it’s ridiculously high for people. Like make a mortgage payment or buy a med that will keep you alive. The prices are wrong on every level.
@Mischie13 Adams this is a few years back, but my cat was diabetic and the insulin the vet put him on was the same as the insulin for people. Took it to the drugstore and the pharmacist put it in my name, that way I could claim it on my benefits.
@@sundance81677 you can get short acting insulin from Walmart for $20 without a prescription. The insulin used for cats is the same stuff. I don’t think $20 dollars is so unreasonable
I actually know a woman who regularly groomed her cat, turned the fur into yarn and eventually, when she had enough, made a sweater out of it. Her cat was a fluffy Norwegian Forest Cat so there was plenty of fluff to go around. Their fur also somehow managed to resemble silk and wool at the same time.
What a sweetie. My cat liked to be vacuumed and would turn over so his other side could be vacuumed on low suction. He would want my mother to keep vacuuming him and she would say, " Jinks, I can't vacuum you all day." .
back when i was 8, me and my sister talked our dad (who “hates cats”) into adopting this one year old cat from a shelter. ten years later, and the cat is his favorite child and we even got another cat. i’ve literally never seen him have a bad interaction with a cat; always just baby talking and scritchy scratches.
my dad was always a huge dog person & was all for german shepard & rottweiler breeds but my sister is allergic to dogs. we ended up getting two cats from a litter that my mom's friend was trying to get rid of. my cats are 8 years old & now every time my dad sees them, he gives them a good scratch & kisses their heads.
Exactly, when we adopted our cat from the street my dad complained a lot but he changed his mind as soon as our cat slept on his lap 😂 then he started calling him "my son". He cried so much when we had to put our cat down
My late husband grew up without a pet as well. So he didn't want any either. In 1990 as he lay in hospital our senior cat passed away in his bathroom, in his tub. When I told him I was shocked at his reaction. Two weeks after his release he demanded he needed another cat to keep him company when I was gone to work. Well my husband passed away in 1999 & his cat grieved for him till she passed in 2022. It always pleases me when a "NO PETS" person becomes a big fur-baby lover. Thanks for sharing Hank's groom. He is truly a good boy.
I'm sorry to hear about your husband and cats 😔 I lived in the cat city of Istanbul for a while. There's a fluffy, friendly, cute cat on every corner because the people there love cats and take care of them, so I saw many expat converts who were not "cat people" before moving to Turkey 😸
@@SmokingRat no, the poster above is absolutely correct. i grew up with cats. we always had at least 4 in our house. and I can tell you for a cat to sit this still for such a long time while all this happens is absolutely not the norm. I would estimate that about 80 percent of cats will not put up with something like this.
@@SmokingRat most of mine too. but maybe apart from one none would have sat there still for 30 minutes for a grooming. 99 percent of cats flip their shit when you start vacuuming. and almost no cats like water unless you wash them when they're only kittens.
This the most relaxed, tolerant cat I've ever seen. I have an 18 year old Siamese. She's mellowed out in her old age but if I tried this with her I'd probably need stitches afterwards.
It’s always the dads who “don’t want pets” or “aren’t cat people” who end up absolutely loving their pets. I’ll never forget a documentary I saw about the aftermath of Katrina and trying to help the pets. (You’ll remember that the authorities forced people to abandon their pets, leading to a few gunfights over an old ladies doggo or a family cat that was NOT getting left. Other people were taken away by force without their pets). There was an extremely old man who had been taken away without his consent, without his cat-ConCat. ConCat was named because this old man didn’t like cats at all, but this kitty “conned” his way into his heart. Well after the storm all he could talk about was getting to his house to see if ConCat was alright. They took him into the warzone that was New Orleans…He cracked the door to the destroyed building…When I say I CRIED when he heard ConCat meow…I cried! ConCat was hiding out and all right-a but skinny but all right! His human came back to rescue him🖤 and they were reunited. 🥰
As someone who had a diabetic cat in the house for 3 years I can say that they aren’t easy- though the owners having kept this one for 10 years is incredible so I thank them for wanting to put in that kind of effort for Hank.
There's a channel "Lex and Cinnabon". Started out to be a gun channel. Then this skinny scared cat starting hanging out on his deck. Highly recommend, especially early episodes: "I'm not really a cat person." Ha.

What a great cat! I love that you're showing us some of your feline customers. 😻🐈
Hank is no dummy. He knows a good spa day when he sees one.
That is absolutely, hands-down the world's most chill cat.
Oh I don't know. The cat in Enemy of The State was pretty chill.
Nooooo my cat loves the bath! And afterward she snuggles you to death.

Hanks a smart cat
Hank: 😏
Vanessa! It's so nice to see a kitty loving his groom session instead of trying to claw and bite you unconscious! Hank has an adorable personality! Meow meow -- or rather, Mew Mew! 😺😼😻🖤🖤🖤
When I was a child we had a weird cat, he liked being vaccumed - never had one like it before or since. Weirdo but I loved him, despite the odd bit
I know several cats like that
Mine likes it too 😸
Everyone has their kinks I guess
My grandmothers cat loved to be vacuumed too
I had one that I could vacuum with the small brush attachment.
Wife: "Can we keep him?"
Husband: "absolutely not"
Hank: "you're asking the wrong question, I'm already yours."
You got the cat attitude purrfectly!
What a great cat. And there's no bond stronger than the one between a dad and the pet he said he didn't want.
My dad said the same thing about our first cat, Rascal. In the end, Dad was Rascal’s favorite human. 😻
🤣😂🤣
Indeed. My dad grew with dogs and said he did not liked cats... well... he is now a crazy cat gentleman.
I can't believe Hank is such a calm kitty cat being groomed & having his toenails cut. He looked so beautifully handsome. I LOVE HANK.❤ THANK YOU!!!
It seems like Hank (all though a senior) displays a lot of kitten-like habits. He lifts his leg so that his mother (in this case, the blow dryer) can clean him up. It's not unusual but it's definitely, as you said, hilarious.
Young at heart
Hank: Yes that's the spot.
Vanessa: What?
Hank: I said too much.

That’s a smart cat right there. He knows the groom means less grooming himself.

It never ceases to amaze me how much hair a cat sheds when brushed. And it looks like they lost none.
I bathed and brushed my little bug yesterday. She shed so much hair that she now looks thinner, and she's a very chunky lady.
Infinity minus infinity equals infinity.
Mine is the same way, I get whole another cat every week. Where does it all come from
The thing with having a black and white cat is that you get visible cat hair on all your clothes no matter what you do🖤🤍🕵️

Adore Hank. He’s smart, knows a good grooming will make him feel gorgeous. 😻
❤️
i've seen a similar crafter, but with dog hair! :D

What a sweetie. My cat liked to be vacuumed and would turn over so his other side could be vacuumed on low suction. He would want my mother to keep vacuuming him and she would say, " Jinks, I can't vacuum you all day." .
That is adorable.
Bring in more people to take turns vacuuming him all day!
Lol!
My Pop used to vacuum our cats in the 70s, they looooved it. If I even bring out my vacuum, kittehs are under the furniture for DAYS :((

back when i was 8, me and my sister talked our dad (who “hates cats”) into adopting this one year old cat from a shelter. ten years later, and the cat is his favorite child and we even got another cat. i’ve literally never seen him have a bad interaction with a cat; always just baby talking and scritchy scratches.
Something about dads who "hate animals" and then fast forward any amount of time and they're melted butter for their new fave child 🥰
I grew up with a mom who was ambivalent with animals but my dad was a cat guy. He raised two cat loving daughters.
Cats are very special people.
my dad was always a huge dog person & was all for german shepard & rottweiler breeds but my sister is allergic to dogs. we ended up getting two cats from a litter that my mom's friend was trying to get rid of. my cats are 8 years old & now every time my dad sees them, he gives them a good scratch & kisses their heads.
Old kitty living life, he is pretty wise to just relax and enjoy the whole ordeal
Look at his eyes glaze over and then close when he's getting dried. "Awww, yeaaahhhh..."
Hank knows what a handsome boy he is after a grooming!
Love the kitty grooming, please continue sharing these videos. Thank you! 💗💗
Hank: Groom me like one of your French cats
My favourite comment so far 😂
🤣
💀💀
Such a unique little fuzzbutt. Funny how it's always the dad that doesn't want the pets that ends up loving them the most.
That's why they don't. It rips your heart out when you lose them and leaves a wound that never heals.
My favorite meme says: "The purest love in the world is the one between grumpy dads and the pet they said they didn't want."
I'm sorry to hear about your husband and cats 😔
I lived in the cat city of Istanbul for a while. There's a fluffy, friendly, cute cat on every corner because the people there love cats and take care of them, so I saw many expat converts who were not "cat people" before moving to Turkey 😸
Love this cat! He is so chill.
I screamed laughing when she said his "tickle spot" and he lifted his leg like my dog does! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I needed this
Me too!!
My cat does that too! 😊

My deepest and worst scar is from a Siamese! I don't blame her though, she was scared so it was only a matter of time
There’s nothing like an emotional falling in love story like Hank’s and his dad’s to make me sniffle into my coffee.
eeww
And the dad's heart grew three sizes that day!
This cat 🐈⬛ is chill AF. He thoroughly enjoyed himself.
@ET M Always wondered, just how chill Is F ? ;-)
Every morning I want to start my day with a smile. Hank does this! Thanks!
His full moon eyes when you're blow drying him is HILARIOUS. He's fully entranced by it. I've never seen a cat be like that with blowing air.
I want to see Hank again. He's just so laid back.
I know he's old, but I think, it says a lot about a cat when you only clip his nails after you finish with him, and not before the start.

As someone who had a diabetic cat in the house for 3 years I can say that they aren’t easy- though the owners having kept this one for 10 years is incredible so I thank them for wanting to put in that kind of effort for Hank.
Way too fitting that the husband who “didn’t want the cat” is the one who cleans his litter box and gives him his insulin🖤
