The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.
Can't wait to see Season 18! Ty will be great as always!!!

I would love to see Heartland again and again. Ty's return to Amy and his brand new daughter, Wendy, is just what the doctor ordered. Wendy needs her father just as much as rekindling his love to Amy. I really, really look forward to seeing how things work out. Knowing the love that both Amy and Ty had and have with how this entire family portrays have now makes all the difference in how a family should be. Family, to me, is one of the greatest life, that life has to offer as long as you work at its ups and downs. This show is wonderful and delightful. Family that prays together stays together...

First I’ve got to say I’ve been enjoying the series so much. The characters are great! The story line fantastic. I’ve laughed, shared the moment, and cried. I was devastated when Ty was presumed dead and the heart wrenching fact that Amy and family had to move on with their lives. So with all these teasers that Ty is coming back is great! I’ve always loved Ty’s role in the Heartland family. But what about Amy’s relationship with Nathan Pryce?

That was an incredibly long article and I tend to think it’s BS. The only other thought is that it’s not Graham but another actor playing Ty. Even still I don’t believe they’d try to bring Ty back. Really rude if it’s deliberately false!
Who is going to be Ty who is replacing Nathan character? It is not going to be Graham Wardle returning to his original character. He says he is not coming back and that would make him a liar. I don't see Graham Wardle lying to his fans. Graham has moved on and has moved on a new acting project in the works for this fall.

I am disappointed that CBC has decided to turn a wonderful family drama that up to now has dealt realistically with life and death and turned it into a fantasy.
I will be forced to make a difficult decision.. do I continue to watch one of my favorite shows.

When Nathan is on the show that is bad for Amy or any woman he don’t believe in love and told Amy he will never love again how can a relationship survive on that he is trying to use Amy to take down Heartland in my opinion forget Nathan just bring Ty bach
Just like Lou and Peter, their relationship was not love. They did not want the same things. Ty wanted to make sure Amy and him wanted the same dreams and goals, open truthful communication in their relationship after Armand Prince tried to break up Amy with Ty by buying Amy's love with money, lavish life style, cater to rich peoples horses. This caused a bad break up between Amy and Ty, which hurt Ty Amy keeping lies from him about her being attracted to Armand Prince and his fancy gifts.
I am very skeptical because when they killed Ty off in season 14 they made it so final!
