Ty is my favorite character, with Caleb in a very close 2nd place. As Caleb matured on screen, he became more and more handsome. That smile is the best! But Graham Wardle had my heart when Ty showed such sensitivity and courage when he had to protect the more vulnerable people and animals in his life. He wouldn't let anyone hurt Amy, no matter what the circumstances were. That's why I crushed on him, though I am old enough to be his grandmother.
I also loved Ty. I don't know why he left "Heartland". I guess we'll never know.
Just kidding. I do know why he left. He left to do his own podcast.
We loved Heartland so much we are watching it all over again. Truly the best family series ever.

Jack is my favourite! He reminds me of someone I know and I can’t quite put my finger on it . However when I’m watching him in the show I feel connected somehow. The show would be nothing without him obviously.

Heartland is a great show. Just bought all 17 seasons. Love all the actors ,,but I have to say Amy, Ty, jack and Tim are my most favorites. Especially When Tim and Jack have moments they are awesome

I just found this series, watch at least 2 episodes daily and some days I'll watch ALL day. On season #4, episode #4, right now. I'm so addicted. Awesome show, good morales even shows that everyone has regrets while at the sametime displays forgiveness.
Most difficult to choose only one favorite. This series is perfectly cast. The casting director deserves an award🏆. No one could be more perfect playing Jack than Shaun Johnston. Chris Potter gives the often-annoying but well-intentioned Tim just the right balance between viewers wanting to strangle him vs. laughing at his expense. He’s perfect in the role. But who could choose between Graham Wardle and Amber Marshall as your “favorite? Their relationship is the foundation-the glue holding everything together. Now with Ty’s absence it’s as if “Heartland” has a hole in its heart. The love and respect “Ty and Amy” had for each other held the family dynamic of the Fleming-Bartlett clan together. They were the glue that made the series a treasure. It’s almost painful to watch the show with Ty and Amy no longer side by side. Real life inevitably brings tragedy into our lives, so we should thank “Heartland’s” writers for the words Grandpa Jack says to Amy about how she’s going to cope with losing Ty and continue to live her life. “Heartland” is by far the best series I’ve ever watched. It’s left its handprints on my soul.❤️

I have said this before and I'll say it again, Heartland (for me) is the BEST show on tv.
Ty's loss is an opportunity to show the characters wrestling with one of life's most painful and difficult challenges, the death of a loved one. It's raw, and real, and the glue of the show isn't the characters. It's the consistency of the values of the characters
I love Jack too but I find Tim very endearing because he can be funny and I love his facial expressions. I am just watching the show for the first time and am near the end of season 11 so I am not looking forward to the one where Ty dies. I love him and Amy together.
I think everyone should watch Heartland and mimic raising a family exactly like they portrayed on this amazing series. I will never stop watching Heartland.Couldn’t give a higher praise to actors and producers alike. Job well done Heartland cast!!!!! Job well done!!!

Amber Marshall is my favorite character along with Graham Wardell. I'm still so sad that Graham left the show!! For several seasons I couldn't wait to see Tye & Amy build their house!! I wish Tye died after the house was finished, or didn't leave the show at all 😭
What I wonder is if Graham's wife was jealous of Amy and Graham may have not have recognized it and in her eyes gave it legs. This happens quite often in the business world and a bit in the Hollywood movie industry

I'm new to the series. I've been binge watching and am now on season 8. Chris Potter is by far the actor in this series I admire most. He can make you love him, hate him, feel sorry for him, want to punch him, etc., all within a single episode. Of course, my favorite is Jack. The patriarch with a grizzly attitude, but an inside of gooey whipped cream. While I love Ty and Amy, there are times I want to throttle them both because they let pride get in the way. Then, when that becomes a problem, they both get stubborn and peck at each other like cranky chickens. Lou should be in therapy for that OCD. Val is such a witch that it's hard to have compassion for her, even when the cancer comes back. Caleb's just a goog old boy who belongs in a Willie Nelson song. Mallory also belonged in therapy. Lisa needs to fully realize how blessed she is to have Jack and stop running off to France to be cultured. Georgie's a fun character. Easy to love. Peter is kind of an obtuse bone head. So that's my take on the characters so far. I was born and raised on a ranch so I do pick up on the cowboy parts of the show that don't run quite true, but Amy sure is a good horseman...horsewoman...?!?... I'm not talking about abilities, just details that don't ring true. (Like in real life, cowboys would ALWAYS carry a rope on their saddles, plus having cattle drives with so many riders for so few cattle wouldn't happen) But it's such a good series that a few mistakes are forgivable.
We completely quit Heartland when Ty "died." The show lost its glue when he opted to leave. Please bring him back! I am a writer: use some realistic intrigue and reintroduce Ty as having been 'away in hiding' from unsavory creeps out to get him because he can identify them from a yet unsolved kidnapping/murder. Disguise him so well that the family (even the audience!) can't recognize him. But hìs pursuers have to be tagged and eliminated before Ty can assume his old identity again. Just my 2 cents. That bites, it's him that decided to quit, not the writers, not the other actors, HIM!!! I have no sympathy for the guy. To bring him back after being dead all of this time is idiotic and sounds like Dallas!! It was stupid then and stupid now!!! Days of Our Lives soap opera did that as well, and after being a faithful watcher, it reminded me of what Dallas did and I stopped watching it after 50 years!!! Yeah, DOOL fast forwarded a year 🤬🤬

It is just so silly to think about Ty coming back after dying years before. And why in the heck blame the writers or the show's producers when it was the actor who decided to leave the role. I don't think many actors would come back to a role after they had died in such an emotional episode. Heartland is television and, of course, there are a lot of things that we can believe on a TV program that we don't in "real life." Coming back from the dead isn't one of them, unless as an actor, you are playing the Son of God. IMHO, any actor who comes back to a show after being killed off might just kill his career. LOL
You can't bring back TY. He died & was cremated. It wouldn't be the same with another man playing Ty.
Graham doesn't want to come back to Heartland. He has a pod cast. Amy is finally ready to date again. I just saw that they might bring back Ty in season 17. It will be Graham

Ty and Amy by far are my favorites. The love between them is so deep and fulfilling. Caleb is too cute. Love Lou but she's too wired all the time. Jack is a sweetheart and his way of reasoning is perfect. Love Tim but he needs to back off. Mallory needs to do what she's told once in a while. But getting really tired of Georgie...(just sayin').

I love the series Heartland. I like Ty, Caleb, Amy. Love the beautiful horses. Love Grandpa. The Dad Tim, I would of told him off many times. Some characters of course, you just don't care for. Good show. Sometimes I get totally invested in this series, thinking it's real. Tim and the sheep, getting rid of Grandpa's trucks, hate to tell you he would be in jail. The coffeepot was a wrong move. Has anyone in this show told Tim to go home. I like him thou, he's handsome. Ever since I watched him in the Kung Fu show. Also, what was Caleb's worthless wife's name? That girl, we would of had it out. Amy is so sweet thou. Good job actors. Mallory talks too much. George is a stinker. Little Caty never smiles or tries to talk much.
