@@kaneshap.6146 On my lunch break. Yeah it's an 8 speed aotomatic. Has a backup camera . 6 air bags . so easy to drive. It is snowflake pearl white and its the base model. It's my third soul.

I test drove a Soul a few years back. I loved it! These cars remind me of a very nice, slightly lower sitting Jeep (I know it's not for going off-road). They have lots of room and space for the backseat passengers as well!

Have a 2015 Camry LE like you seriously consider going for a Soul. I live in the small city where parking including in my apt bldg are compact spaces. The Camry feels like a Ford Crown Vic in my parking lot. Great review and appreciate review on most affordable model. I got my Camry 2 yrs old w/ Toyota's cpo warranty 1 yr bumper-bumper and 7yr 100k powertrain warr. Its a good reliable car. Had a 2017 Soul car rental for a week in Tampa. It was way quieter and road better than I expected. I like the Soul's higher seating, compact, reliable and great Kia/Hyundai warr. Looking at S and EX models too. Thanks man.

I have a 2008 V6 Mustang and just bought a 2020 Soul LX and I am not disappointed. I am loving the Soul. It is awesome out of the gate, handles like a dream and I love being up higher to see more. It will be more practical in winter and my two dogs fit in the back cargo area and stay there instead of trying to help me drive. I won’t really be too sad if and when I sell the Mustang

Motor Fire - man, great review on this hot new Kia Soul LX. I'm planning on getting my own copy of one. The base 6-speed LX only comes in silver, white and black. That's pretty standard in the industry. Loved your thorough, thoughtful review of this car!

I just traded my leased Stinger for a 2020 Kia Soul LX....I know, but I am 65, so, I thought I should drive something for that. Thank you for the review of all that has changed, because, I was thinking of getting a 2019. Glad my Salesman steered me towards what he drives. Can't wait to see how it performs once we get our winter snow.

Woah, 20k is a lot! I’ve seen left over 18’s fir low 14k range. I could see 16 grand, maybe. 20 grand could get me into a nicely equipped Subaru Impreza. A base manual model Soul is where it’s At. That will give you the best value, power, mpg (if you know how to drive a stick properly) and long term reliability. I prefer the playful styling of the prior gen. I found the power adequate with the manual in prior additions base models. But I am happy the 2 liter ya avail base trim with manual. I purchase a pre owned 2015 Scion XB instead with barely 31k on it. I trust the 2.4 Camry engine long term over 200k miles more. The value was hard to beat under 12 grand and it’s made in Japan. Super solid and great power with the manual. I expect very little repairs on this car.

I’ve seen them fall to 14 grand locally. It really is the best value. You could add wheels later and a nice Thule roof rack and cargo box etc. that’s my XB.

Steel wheels are great for the pot holes in the northeast that destroys expensive rims and low profile tires. These new cars with fancy rims look great but I personally prefer functionality over looks . Steelies are perfect for the base .

I got the 6 speed manual Soul LX and it is even more fun. And it handles really great for being a box hatch or a compact wagon
My girlfriend just got a 2020 lx auto. Honestly it's a great car for the money, and she loves it. She gets better than advertised mpg (38 mostly highway). The only issue is something we didn't know it had until after we bought it... That stupid auto stop/start.. Yeah you can turn it off, but you have to every time you turn the car off and on, frustrating.
It does suck that you have to do that, but alot of manufacturers unfortunately make you do that. It is a great car overall.

I've had my 2020 Kia Soul for 10 months now and I love it !! My only complaint is the headlights. They are not bright enough / they don't project out very far. So my question is how do I get to them to change / upgrade ?
Should be pretty easy to swap out to some forms of led lights.
Oh man this is tough. I've been eyeballing the 2019 Kia Soul + models as I wanted to avoid the 1.6L engine, but now that there are 2020 LX models with nearly the same features as the 2019 + for a lower price, this is very difficult....I may need to check this one out.
Yes i heavily disliked the 1.6L. With the new standard 2.0 I feel the Soul is a much better buy now overall even in its "base" form

I have a 2020 it's 8 speed automatic with shiftronic. It has a sport mode it increases the rpm by. 1000 rpm.
I got a 2020 LX with 6 speed manual and it accelerates really good, and handles great for a boxy hatch or a small wagon. It is simple yet fun for my daily commute. And now my Golf GTI becomes a project car
I Love my Kia LX it rides great and also works well with gas. I enjoy the pick up and all of the extras compared to my 2016. Not sure what they expect for 19,000.

I had a 2017 base model with a 6 speed stick, and had no issues with acceleration. I also do not like that they took away the satellite radio; the extra foam lined storage space in the back; and alloy wheels. It seems like I got less car for more money.

If you scrape up a wheel cover it is cheap to replace. Do it to the allow wheel it's so expensive people don't fix it and it looks like crap for years! Nice review 👍

I'm confused why you said the cargo area is unchanged... I have a 2016 kia soul and I have much more space on the sides. It looks like they added two curved areas to the left and right in the cargo area that takes up a lot of space. With my 2016 kia soul you can put a blow up mattress for two people in it, but with these stupid plastic things make the space more narrow. Am I going crazy? No one else is mentioning this. I convinced my mom to buy a 2020 kia soul without realizing that they changed this.

If you have siriusxm just use the app on your phone and play it through the Bluetooth under the media button
Update: you can use siriusxm through android auto by adding it to screen from android auto settings on the phone, just checkwd on my 20 Soul
There is an expensive interior lights package that shows as dealer installed option! Perhaps this adds the lights in the door panel that flash with the music? Can you find out from parts desk and let us know? Thanks you.

I don't know if you realize but the kia soul lx comes stock with a 6 speed manual your example has the cvt you forgot to mention the cvt as a add on even your Kia website proves that the cvt aka ivt according to kia it's a $1,500 upgrade to me the cvt is a down grade

@@MotorFire totally the manual brings the soul to lif I own a 2016 vw tiguan and heavily modified even tuned I'm buying my 2021 Kia soul lx manual and it's less then 18 grand that's sweet plus the best warranty in the business which only kia Hyundai and mitsubishi offer anyways glad to inform u and hope u try the manual out huge difference in performance

I’ve had a Kia for four years and I never had a single issue. The regular maintenance is all but they are really great Carlson I actually traded my Kia forte 2016 to one of the souls.
