Watching you car reviews was instrumental in our decision to purchase the 2020 Kia Soul S trim. We narrowed down our search to either the Hyundai Kona or the Kia Soul. My wife and I are seniors and wanted a car for our road trips and the Soul fit the bill (we traded in our 2013 Hyundai Accent which was too small). We test drove our Kia Soul up two paved Colorado mountain passes and it did just fine. The 147 Hp engine has plenty of power. The CVT works very well in most situations but the manual (automatic) shift comes in handy for steep grades in windy roads and for downshifting to have the engine brake the cars when driving down steep grades. This is the best buy in this price range IMO.
@@CarConfections Red. (not the Mars Red). The yellow, and green this year are awful. Blue only comes with the top trim. White would have been good my my wife wanted red.

One side note. The "CVT" is actually call the KIA iVT FOR (Intelligent Variable Transmission). It is chain driven instead of belt driven and much more durable over the long haul. :-)
I'll wait a while to see or hear how it holds up. I just got a 2020 Soul LX with 6 spds though, and it takes a little time to get used to but its affordable and fun
Test a Soul S version! Its the one most people buy or the X-line. Also, Kia owners - make certain to keep your maintenance records. KIA will demand those records for ANY powertrain warranty work. And you must use a KIA SPECIFIC oil filter. You might just want to get oil changes at the dealership. Speaking from experience with KIA...
This chart where the XLine says (-) I have it on my Soul XLine white pearl 2020 which I purchased on December 2019 at Toñito Auto, the only difference is that it doesn't have the double level trunk and doesn't have the plastic trims on the fenders and the low part of the doors and has 16 wheels as standard but you have to upgrade yours for 17 or 18. So XLine here as standard have FCA also with FCA pedestrian, LKA, DAW, and SCC. Also as standard have the wireless charger, roof tracks for roof racks, dual air conditioning controls so driver has temperature setting different from passenger setting, USB port for back seats, the pocket compartment behind the first row passenger seat and the one button window down for both front windows. Carpets are included on all the vehicles at no extra charge. We don't have to pay extra for all of that and apparently this is something different and available as standard for the Puerto Rico market from what yours has available for customers. Great review guys! Honestly I am not sure if I’m a fan of the styling on this one. The back is so ugly and the front could grow on me. The interior is fine. The trim levels are ridiculous. The power train is fine too. I’m curious to see how many people buy them.
Just bought a Black Gt Turbo on Saturday. I think Kia will have a hit on their hands. They styling makes so much of a difference. The "curb appeal" of the GT Line alone has people looking. I've had other Kia owners with older models stopping and pointing.
Went from a 2015 that I loved to a 2020, rear hatchback broke had to be completely replaced, also roof molding came off the first carwash, 4 days of ownership, weston kia in Gresham OR. would not help.The carwash paid for repairs although it wasn't their fault. Dash rattle will drive you insane.I loved my 2015 but do not like the 2020. Also no XM radio the dealership promised it had it then said the 2020s did not ???????????? If in Oregon do not go to Weston dealers this is the third brand new car we have purchased from Weston they couldn't care less.
I've seen two reviews that didn't like the 18" wheels on the GT Line saying they increased ride harshness and recommended getting the S or EX with the 16" or 17" wheels. I guess it depends on your priorities whether you'd prefer the more taut handling of the GT Line with its sport suspension and 18" wheels or more comfortable ride of the EX with its standard suspension and 17" wheels. For a daily commuter or long highway trips I'd take the EX.
Looks cool. It does have quite a nose on it. Needs exterior lighting upgrade on lower trims. I’d like to see all the red on the tailgate surround able to light up, and include a 3rd brake light all the way across. I like the interior, and the dash trim integration into the side vents. The whole vehicle is not exactly my style but it should sell well, because of the many options available. Can you please go back to Kia asap and review a 2019 K900 with the Luxury VIP Package? That thing looks ready to impress. Also, how do you like Antenne Bayern Chillout?

Full disclosure, my feelings about the Kia Soul are mixed, but it's an interesting vehicle for 2020. The black and red on the GT's exterior certainly is not borning and makes a statement. The particular trim level you reviewed I do not understand why there's no rear seat arm rest in the center, no rear air vents, and no charging ports. Maybe I missed something. The key fob is awesome, and I'm truly amazed by Kia's latest key fobs. If one didn't look at the name on the fob, I'd assume the key fob is to a higher end vehicle. Question for Drew, what kind of car do you drive? Excellent channel 😄.

Hopefully you and Mason can review a 2019 Volvo V60 T6 Inscription on your channel, I'm not sure when the new V60 will be available in Volvo dealerships. Volvo has done right when it comes to the wagon, and I like to know you and Mason's thoughts about it. I think the all new VW Arteon will finally be in U.S. VW dealerships this summer, so that will be another awesome car to review on your channel. Have a great day.
I was highly considering one of these till i seen how much cost cutting kia is doing. 90% of car manufacturers are putting led running lights on even there most basic model and at least projector headlights on there upper trim levels Well you wont find any of that unless you buy a gt line turbo model,and according to my research you cant get full leather in any trim,and good luck finding power seats and there sales staff and service dont know anything about the different trim levels and what you get or dont get and i was talking with a salesman that said he had been at this kia dealership for 17 years all he was doing was downing any other make car i said i was looking at as he keep telling me why i need to by a kia because of the warranty
NOW if they would only put the panoramic roof back, along with the ventilated seats, THEN I would buy a new model!!!! HEEEEEEYYYYY KIA, LISTENING?!?!?!?!

I bought the 2020 Kia Soul X-Line in undercover green. Only time will tell, but I’m confident with my purchase thus far.

Got the GTline non turbo with the sunroof package ,So you get lane departure ,blindspot ,push start ,and the sunroof
I love it! My favorite is the GT Turbo w/ red interior! The LX was really close to my favorite but my favorite is GT Turbo.

Not sure I'm a fan of this redesign. I really didn't see anything wrong with the previous version. This one just seems a bit cartoonish to me.
Awful regular halogen will hard to see on road ! Better LED light able see road!!!!!

Dmitry B I agree. At least projector halogens should be standard and not the huge ugly reflector halogens.
I own a 2020 Kia Soul x line. Make no mistake, the halogen headlights give more than sufficient visibility.
