2023 All-Japan Kudo Senior Championships (SI=202-210) final

Because Kudo is so called MMA, there are many fighters who are strong even though their belt grade at Daido-juku is still low, due to their rich experience in martial arts and combat sports prior to Kudo.
There are many such examples, especially in the senior category.
In this match, a 5th kyu fighter won against a 3rd dan fighter.
Murano has 28 years of experience in Kyokushin Karate and of course, holds a black belt in it.

Yeah in the end it is all a brawling. Karate is just what they use to train, the same goes for any other martial arts. I like kudo because its rules kind of forces fighters to fight like it would happen "on the streets" (E.g. self defense situation).

Kudo is the modern combat sport closest to the fighting of the era of karate's origins.

@@shinjiwatanabe8131 I see, sop thats why I've been very fascinated by kudo since I discovered it some months ago. Unfortunately I can't practice it here in brazil, as there isn't that many places that teaches/practices it😓

​@@otavionathanael7053No it isnt! Kudo is formally known a Japanese MMA not Karate. Kyokushin for ex. is pulicized as Karate but today its also either a Muay Thai mix so does Kudo also look like a MT Kickbox mix with Judo and other elements. Karate in is original form is the directest and quickest form to defeat an enemy not that brawl stuff.
