2023 All-Japan Kudo Senior Championships (SI=212-223) final

Senior classification in Kudo in Japan is based on called the "Senior Index".
The "Senior Index" is calculated by "Height + Weight - Age".
For example, in the case of me, Watanabe, it is "165cm + 64kg - 61 years = Senior Index 168".
Senior Index means that if both fighters are the same height, the one who is one year older will have an advantage of 1kg in weight. Very unique, isn't it?
This means that age is not an absolute handicap, and fights can be fought across generations.
In addition, a category called "Masters" has now been created in addition to the "Senior" category recently.
"Masters" is a category for each age group, and is divided into classes based just on physique.
