In January of 2007, Denita’s life couldn’t be going any better, she was doing great in school, her career was heading in the right direction, she had just gotten a fellowship at the New York Times… but most importantly, her love life was amazing, she was engaged to the love of her life, and planning her wedding. Everyone who met them referred to them as the perfect match, a real-life power couple.
But all of that changed on January 4th 2007, when Denita was fired at in close range as she was heading out of her apartment complex. At first, it seemed random but when the authorities began investigating why someone would take Denita’s life, they uncovered the most twisted story of lies, heartbreak, a love triangle and a deadly obsession. This is the story of Denita Smith, the university graduate who was sh*t to death by her fiance’s lover.
Imagine being murdered by a side chick you never knew existed. That’s disgusting.

This happened to another young lady, obsession. The girlfriend was being stalked by the person he was cheating with. So she told the girl she can have him and left the relationship but the girl continued to stalk her because the guy still loved her and he told the obsessed girl she cost him the live of his life. She then tricked the girl to come outside an d fired more than 15 rounds into her on the sidewalk and neighbors begged her to stop. The girl survived however now paralyzed because of cheating. The girl was arrested but got out on bail, never heard anything else about a trial. Cheating leads to people getting hurt in ways that can't be walked back. Man or woman in some cases don't take rejection well. They choose to throw their lives away. They lose all logic. That and increase in DV increasing on both ends Men cause harm or the woman cause harm. I chose to stay single period and became Celebate. It's just not worth it. I remember watching this case on Scorned: Love Kills. This is a very, very tragic story. A woman lost her life because her boyfriend didn't stay faithful to her and had an affair with a woman who is now spending the rest of her life in jail. Having affairs and cheating on your spouses boyfriends/girlfriends isn't worth it period and could end up costing everything you know, especially your life. Up until I met my forever love, I made it a point when I was dating to stay away from men who are married or have girlfriends. I'm not losing my life because of a woman's jealousy. At the end of the trial, the judge made a statement to the fiance, stating that he created the perfect storm for this to happen. He wanted to have two women and other stuff I forgot. It was so long ago. But, the judge tore him a new one!
