1:18 100mph, not kph
100 kph, here they use the metric sys
more like 100kph, they grossly exaggerate since winds that high are not sustained and only occur in outlying areas. Not uncommon for us to get 60-70mph winds in the Fall, but not common for Winter.
The 🔥 fire burning 🥵 and it’s consuming, every year it happens they must be something can be done.
Newsome was told after the Paradise fire that he needs to maintain the forests and hillsides by clearing brush and debris, etc. I guess that didnt happen.
This person has clearly never been to LA!
It's apocalyptic!
She’s probably enjoying her vacation
This person was reading this report at 10am UK time. You watched it several hours later.
I wanted to highlight that Canada possesses world-class firefighting aircraft, specifically the Canadair CL-415, which are widely regarded for their exceptional capabilities in combating wildfires.
Canada has consistently demonstrated a willingness to assist during international crises, and I am confident that reaching out to them for support would yield a positive response, as it has in the past.
Save Our Britain 🙏🙏🙏
Nothing to do with the video mate
@christianv-h3278look who's presenting... She's struggling to read.
@christianv-h3278s lot does it's a sentence of all what Britan took. It's on fire because there are no more tribes doing deliberate fires which stops these fires. It's tribal. I live in Thailand and they still practise it so this doesn't happen.
"The governor of California" can't do much with nature.
@christianv-h3278 The sentiment stays the same regardless brother 👊
Elon´s Coming! Elon for PM! Drain our Swamp.
the sky is very orange here at the moment, and i’m miles away from the actual fire 😭
This is absolutely heartbreaking! 💔
i mean i feel like cali should be use to this mainly due to just the sheer amount of natural problems the place gets/has gotten over the ages
We poor commoners should get together and release a cover of Imagine by John Lennon for all the celebs suffering right now.
Nobody in this day in age should have less than 5 homes.
#Prayforhollywood
Unfortunately most celebrities children have two homes. One with mum and one with dad .
Yeah, the majority of people and wildlife affected are celebrities 🙄
Don't make light of this! Some of them had to WALK to get out of the neighbourhood. On their actual FEET!. It is a disaster.
@JeffBilkins 🤣
Yes, someone please start a go fund me
Excellent coverage 😢 UK.
Climate change 😢
It's so strange that while one part of America is stuck in a polar vortex, California has three separate wild fires going on. Climate change is wild!!
Ohh it looks worst than GAZA..😢
Disgusting comment.
Me depress by the weather and there is hell...
I feel sorry for the people affected by these fires and pray that the loss of life and homes will be minimal 🙏 I feel angry, though, that Trump does not recognise climate change and that something has to be done about it.
Trump does respond to "climate change" and why he wants Greenland. I was born and raised in this fire area, it's normal, and has been since before humans arrived. There are plants in California that depend on fire and wind to propagate.
I live a few blocks from the Beach, we've had the coldest, wettest year I can remember in 30 years. True for the entire 900 mile coast of California.
@@nuqwestr ??? So far, its been a dry rainy season in So Cal.
The US voted for a president, who denies climate change . So sorry for the people, but ask the guy in Mar el Lago !
It's California, waiting for them to blame Trump.
someone on this thread already did. Newsom was on scene, he's got a lot of donors in them hills.
winds 180km/hr, not 100km/hr.
I reckon these fires are always started intentionally by pranksters/arsonists, or just peeps throwing cigs into the bushes as they drive around.
Or people looking to buy cheap real estate as in Hawaii.
depends. Some of them is most definetly the case but there are some trees that need fire in order for the new seeds to grow, so they ignite easily for that reason. Cant remember the trees that need that or if they have them though
So what caused it?
global warming finally reaching rich people
God controls the weather
false, we've been getting fires here for decades, even the native tribes talked about fires, and many plants here require fire and wind to propagate. nothing to do with a mythical "climate change", it hasn't.
@@wqv5423ln Would that be the Sun god then?
@@calvin_hk c'mon man. This is from not maintaining their forests, policy they voted for, neglecting their neighbors and redirecting bodies of water for luxury

Washington politicians: hurry let’s send money to Ukraine and Israel
When whole neigborhoods go up it takes entire families/extended families/ communities, jobs, businesses, and safety nets for people.... who is left to report you missing?
There can be countless more loss of life than ever reported in the news...
What a thought. I hope it's not true
Schools too. Just too tragic
There are 3 fires going the Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire and the newest is the Hurst Fire and that's on the north of the 210 freeway near Sylmar
I feel more sorry for the loss of trees and animals than celebrities’ homes. Prayers to the firefighters 🙏
Not all the people were celebrities.
I feel bad for the animals, kids and normal average folk. I couldn't give a toss about these multi millionaire actors that have lost 1 of their 5 houses to this. Why is this main UK headline news and not the grooming case that starmer refuses to deal with?!
Is it a real one this time or one of those weird ones that only burns houses?
Looks terrible. That wind is a balls.
God bless all involved
"They can see the fire in their neighborhoods and are wondering what they should do..." Um, LEAVE
"it's almost reached to the coast" that presenter is extra
Another DEI hire at the propaganda channel BBC
It has reached the coast as well, fire blowing over the Pacific Coast Highway and burning life guard stations on the beach.
Different time zone
Turns out planting a forest with the most flammable trees on the planet because they also grow quickly... was a bad move. Who could have known?
Aussies played the long game
Naw its rhe cardboard houses yall like to make lol if you made concrete houses this wouldnt happen.
@@sentigosedge8510 bring back brutalist architecture 🤣
@sentigosedge8510 Pretty sure the forest fires don't start in residential areas...
@@sentigosedge8510 im from the uk and most of our homes are brick but america experiences more frequent disasters and having more expensive materials that would still be destroyed is not cost effective. Plus the different types of homes are built in different areas depend on the disasters and weather etc
The fire did not almost reach the coast. The fire did reach the coast burning many homes on the beach.
It's the BBC, what do you expect, facts?
Yeehaw
If that's the caae, why didn't those living close to the beach, stand outside their homes with a (powerful) hose pipe and flood/dampen the ground directly outside their homes (24/7 if needs be) to neutralized the hot embers, b!owing on the ground & towards their properties?????
That's all it would have taken to save their homes.
@@joysboy6588 I live and grew up in the area, not the first time homes along Pacific Coast Highway burned to the Piers they are built on. These structures on wooden piers are made of wood, the old ones quite flimsy, easy to burn.
@nuqwestr: admittedly people that live up in the hills can't protect their homes from wildfires. But surely people that live close to the beach, whereby the front of the house is meet by road & pavement can.
They've got money. If it was a community, EVERYBODY & as one whole community (working 24/7) could (quite literally) stand together with their hose pipes & JUST flood/dampen the road & pavement outside their homes to neutralized the hot embers blowing towards their homes, across the road & pavement.
People in the hills can't do that. But people living close to the beach, surrounded by road & pavement outside their homes can do that in a desperate bid to save their homes.....
Surprised over the years they have not built fire breaks or even moats around their 'castles'😮
It wouldn’t matter, the winds carry embers that land on roofs. It’s an area famous for wind.
Most of the houses here are also much older. Lots of wooded areas also.
There are many very talented and wonderful people living there. Gods mercy and protection 🙏 on them all.
God did this 🤷♂️
Wealthy people think they’re invincible. This wind event was well forecasted and warned, don’t choose to live in the mountains if you’re not ready for mountain life.
These are not mountains in Pacific Palisades, coastal hills, and majority of these homes were built in the fast boom of the 1950s, early 1960s, small modest and inexpensive at the time. Even a 1950s trailer home park burned down.
@@nuqwestryeah most people have no idea these houses were extremely expensive but not really "mansions" they were mostly small homes built like 50+ years ago. Lots of retired people, business people lived here.
@@dhootparm Yep, my Dad purchased in 1958 a mid-century 1100 sg ft house up the canyon for $25K, the land alone is now worth $1.5 million. A lot of the homes are tear downs, ready for fix/flip developers.
