Rennala is visually the best fight in the game IMO

The Carian Knight Armour is pure DRIP. It captures the aesthetic of a group of magical knights so flawlessly. Carian Piercer is also great, definitely worth the INT investment if you like spells that can be cast quickly and stagger most enemies, even some larger ones!

Lore (spoilers) for Rennala:
The reason she is still alive after the battle is because the entire second phase of the fight was just a spell cast by Ranni to protect her mother.
From item descriptions, it is said that Rennala was once a great champion and sorceress of the land but when Radagon left Rennala, she was so heartbroken that she lost herself in despair. Eventually the scholars found her unworthy to be ruler and locked her in the main tower upon realisation that she wasn’t a champion at all.
She became a husk of her former self, but nonetheless she once was truly a great champion during her glory days of battle
Her story is incredibly sad as well as many others in this game :(

In her prime the lady fought Radagon (THE FINAL BOSS) to a draw. Ranni's projection is itself a sad imitation of her full strength.
I understand now why you love this game so much, the world they have built is what I read in fantasy novels as a kid
It has a lot more fantasy elements compared to the other Dark Souls game, which is a cool change
Yeah! Miyazaki said he didnt get to play video games as a kid, so he read a lot and got into DnD. Thats why his games stick out like that

The rage!!! There’s only been one boss that’s really made me rage so far and that was flipping Mohg…….so far at least. He obliterated me about 20 times lol.
I wore the carian set with the Rennala hat for maybe more than 100 hours with my first character. It has a place in my heart.
I really want too but I have to wear the gear that I think has the best resistance to physical/elemental in each scenario 😫 maybe once I get to ng+

I'm really enjoying playing this game. It's been a long while since a game has been able to keep me interested. I think i'm 45 hrs in and i don't think i'm even half way through it all. Trying to beat every dungeon and boss in the areas before i hit the main story lines bosses. They did a great job with this game.

I died SO many times during the Rennala fight! When I finally did conquer that one, I had assistance from another player.....like so many other boss fights ='(

One of the great parts of playing a fromsoftware game is watching your videos. I been a fan since bloodborne and watched most of your series til now much respect for playing mostly blind bce I just can’t 😂 although I can’t believe you didn’t get the shortcut after beating the Carian Knight invader like you ran back and stood in right in front of it 😂

Once I got that carian shield I used it for the rest of the game. Seriously its a really good shield and it doesn't have an ability so I can hold the shield and still use my weapons skills without having to 2hand my weapon.

As a mage, Rennala's fight was a pain in the ass. I eventually had to go get the rock sling spell to fight her with as it does physical damage lol

I haven't watched the dark souls playtroughs yet, but I remember how great bloodborne was. Sekiro seemed like a bit to much for most people, it seemed to stress you (and it certainly also stressed me). I had a blast playing elden ring, but I hope you dont feel forced to perform with these kinds of games. Its all good!

!!! you need to counter attack against the shield npc... press R2 (counter attack) a sec After he hit to your shield.
Lady!, you're very underlevel for this bosses and areas, You will spend more time trying to beat the bosses than having fun exploring in general, do more side quests and upgrade your weapons and spirits!
She just need to be patient that's all. Rennala is one of the easiest boss to dodge everything, her summon doesn't last long too.
