Trying to arrange another couple of TVRs for the channel as well. Just finished filming in a Ferrari Dino and Jenson 541R and while they are not fast by modern standards put a huge grin on my face and a massive amount of driver engagement
there are not that many out there and alot of people have no idea what it is. Have a photo of the car on my laptop and people at work say it looks amazing and then, "what is that" lol
One of the best TVR vids I've seen, and with some well placed footage, I was able to feel that acceleration with you. And what a great colour combo...didn't think the Tuscan was one of my faves, but this car looks and sounds absolutely fantastic. I could be tempted away from lusting only for the lovely V8...😎
Thank you I am so pleased you enjoyed it, it’s an incredible car, maybe it’s not quite as direct as the T350 but looks wise and no roof just adds to the drama. v8 has my torque mind you
Wow, this is my old car. Had quite a bit done to it since I had it. Need to be a good driver to handle it properly, a real bucking bronco and definitely an event every time you get in it!
They are stunning cars. If you are not part of the TVR Facebook group I would do and ask questions of what to look out for. You will have to tell me if you buy it
Give my friends at HPC classics in Eastbourne a ring or look at their website, bit dangerous mind going as some stunning cars in stock that I want but my bank manager does not want me to have
Left bottom dial fan speed, right is temp. I'm a proud owner of a 2005 Mk2, it'll be up for sale when I die, not before :) BTW, many TVR specialists provide a main bonnet mod to allow you to lift it on struts. Great content/review.
It’s a stunning car and had so much done to it as well, wonderful to drive and look at. The roads are in East Sussex on the South coast - place called beach head) .
Awesome video bud. Loved that you showed some of the oddities of the car. I'm in the States, and we, sadly, can't yet get one imported. We have the 25-year rule. Have to wait till the car is 25 years old (down to the production month) then it can come in with no issues, legally. Canada has a 15-year rule, so they already have a few of them. I'm watching the calendar as I want a Mk 1 Targa in the worst way!! Make mine purple or own of the reflex colors (chameleon). 👍👍 Keep up the excellent work. 👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it and I loved the experience , a dream but certainly out of my price range at the minute. Wont be long before the 15 years is up but the price will probably increase as well, funny to think my mini is 21 this year
@@DamoDrives I’ve had very little trouble with mine(touch wood as I type) apart from the clutch giving out at about 25k. It’s still on it’s original engine which is on 52k and still runs very smoothly. I will say though that it does take some maintenance, I take it to a TVR specialist every year who keep it running as it should before things go wrong and I have had some big bills, but these cars are getting on a bit now so that’s to be expected. I’ve had the car twelve year this May.
I suppose they are almost supercars so a few bills is not surprising and the built quality even new was some times questionable lol but that’s part of the charm I suppose
@@DamoDrives indeed. The problem is everything feels so dead after driving a TVR. I've put my t350 away for winter now and I miss it already. It's dry as well today so I could have gone out in it as well!
@@DamoDrives yeah with no heat in the tyres is very easy to spin them if you aren't careful. As for the reliability, it's fine starting in the cold weather as long as the battery is kept on automatic charger. The main issue is the chassis in the wet and salt, being steel and powder coated if it chips and then get wet and salty it's going to rust pretty fast. I have also found my electronics like headlights, passenger door can sometimes not work so well after it's been washed 😅 I'll get those sorted next year now.
Wowser these are such good looking cars. Im not too clued up on these but were these the ones with the problematic engines or did they fix the issues on the Tuscan S as compared to the Tuscan Mk1. Also i noticed some Tuscan S's have a different shaped dashboard and instument cluster with a three spoke steering wheel, are those older or newer versions compared to the one in this clip? Thanks
I don’t know a lot about the engine issues but this is the Mk2 Tuscan S; so the latter generation of cars. All I know is 1 would love to own 1, being 20 years old it still looks bang up to date , Makes a great noise and a joy to drive
@@DamoDrives Yes fortunately I am, I purchased my 2001 TVR Chimaera 4.5 May of this year from str8six, always wanted a TVR, purchased as my retirement present, exciting to drive to say the least. 👌👍
Great channel, not sure why it didnt blow up yet.. also id love to see you do this with a sagaris if its possible, my one of dream cars that would probably be too hard to maintain in eastern eu
Really pleased you enjoyed the video and the content. I have a lot more TVR content planned for next year and the sag is certainly on the list. TH-cam is a strange thing so no idea why videos don’t do as well as you think 🤔
I love the lights on the mk1 but I prefer everything else about the mk2 although the front bumper section with the holes for the air intake did stand out
Reminds me more of a Viper then a Aston, and maybe a little bit of Cobra . It's allot more curvy then a Aston. I really like the Tuscun not so much the Cerberra the long doors and square tail lights make them look wonky.
If you want to go very fast and scare yourself, get a motorcycle [if you dare]. If you want to drive a car for pleasure, get an analogue Boxster [a 987]
I've driven that car (courtesy of its latest owner). It's utterly wonderful. Got me hooked on TVR
5k subscribers?? . Your channel deserves 500k. Hope people get to discover it. Amazing content
I really appreciate it and glad you enjoy the videos , still another 45 subs to hit 5,000 lol
Nice presentation, wow best quality I’ve ever seen from TVR!
I saw a Tuscan on the M4 today, I've been watching videos ever since.
That thumbnail has earnt you a new subscriber.
That’s very much appreciated and I love everything about the Tuscan S

Really pleased you enjoyed it and hope I did the car justice 😊😊
Yeah it was a decent review and it’s good to see Miles and put a voice to the FB friend I have
Lots of positives then 😊, looking forward to my next TVR what ever that might be lol
Majestic sound! Totally addictive.
Was an amazing car but getting seriously expensive for a good example, glad I got to experience and share it

It’s brilliant. The sound , open roof and the loving the car since I saw it on swordfish
What a beautiful car! Definitely for royalty
It’s a lovely car and can not believe it’s nearly 20 years old
Going to look at a 2001 model next month and after watching this, really hope to buy it.

I'll put it this simply...I had a Mark 1 from new - totally stock - and I really miss it. Think I might just have to revisit ownership again soon.

Does the factory exist?
I don’t think the original factory does as the new TVR is being built somewhere else
new factory in Wales is now finished
I´ll keep my MK1 as long as health and account allow it. The heftiest car I ever drove....
