- My thoughts after running a few packs though the Blackout SC Pro, and a few changes I made to it.
For the money it's a good short course truck and is actually faster than the Traxxas Slash 4x4.

Hello, tell me how well did the wheels fit on the Redcat? Straight swap? I struggling to get new wheels and types. A upgrade if you will.
what type of wheels are compatable with the redcat because i need some good racing wheels/tires instead of the stock crap
You can basically run anything with the 12mm hex but you'll have to trim the wheel wells out some.
I just recently purchased this rc and I'm wanting to get nubby tires for it cause I race on a oval dirt track. Does anyone know where I can get tires for my blackout sc pro?
You should be able to run any tires and wheels you want as long as the wheels have the same hex size as the ones that are on it. Thanks for watching.
Can this truck run on 4s? I just hooked up 2 2s batteries in series but it wouldn't drive. Heard the fan spinning and steering worked just fine, but motor did absolutely nothing
I don't think the ESC is able to handle 4s. If it is you'd probably hear 4 beeps when you turn the truck on.
I think it's just a 2s and 3s truck and 4 s would probably blow out gears..
I've only ran mine on 2s and it's pretty fast like that. 3s would probably be all this truck could take.

I think 4s would probably end with a smoke show or would strip out the cheap spur gear

I run 5500mah 80c 3S on mine with an upgraded motor and it wheelies on demand
Whats the difference between the SC and the XTE ??
I think the XTE has bigger wheels and maybe the gearing is different but basically all the Blackouts are based off the same platform. The XTE just looks like a monster truck version of the short course version.
I have a mamba monster x esc that I took off one of my on roads and swapped it into the blackout sc with it dangling and all just to test it 😂 I can tell you that brushless motor it comes with is not bad it halls on 4s it's a bootleg slash for half the price it is definitely worth it for those just getting in it's cheap and there's not many other cars out there for the price you can't beat it
Yeah it's faster than a 4wd slash too. It's a tough truck.
Does it have a slipper clutch or center diff?
It's got a slipper clutch set up basically..

Yeah I actually haven't heard much about the blackout SC now that I think about it.
It just sucks that their isn't much aftermarket support for these. Hopefully someday.
Will it handle a 3s or only 2s?
I'm not seeing anything in the manual or on the box that says it's 3s compatible so probably not.

Can the blackout take 3s batteries?
All I'm seeing in the manual for it is 7.4 volt battery which is 2s. It says it's got a 45 amp ESC too.
So I really don't know if it can or not.
I have only ran mine with 2s 5000 mAh and it's faster than a Traxxas slash 4x4 on the same battery.
Honestly I think your going to strip out a lot of gears if you try 3s.
I'm sorry I couldn't give you a good answer to your question, but all that I'm seeing is 2s so probably not.

It's been down awhile because I fried the spur gear, but other than that it's been a good one.
