I am Jody Shaneyfelt and I am addicted to RC cars and planes and pretty much anything else RC.
I am also a big time aviation and race car lover so you might see some full scale stuff here as well since I like to duplicate full size cool into my smaller size Radio Controlled stuff.
I spent 37 years working on real racecars and warbirds.
I will give you my honest opinion of RC cars, Planes, or whatever else so you can enjoy the hobby as much as I do.
It all started in the early 80's with the Tamiya Grasshopper, Frog, and Hot Shot.
Then I started racing the RC-10 gold pan cars and now it's all coming full circle many years later.

New Traxxas Oval Jalopy Class. #traxxasracing
I converted my Slash 4wd to 2wd to run on our dirt oval.
Brian and I created a new Jalopy class by converting a 4wd to 2wd, which lead to the name 422...
we run on a low bite loose dirt oval so we use the stock TQI radio and receiver as well as the stock Velineon brushless motor and esc.
To have some fun with the old Jalopy theme I came up with the 8 ball design as well as some funny sponsor names to go on the car.
We used the 1940's Parma fat fender car bodies.
I got the one McAllister makes for the Slash but it's just way too small looking unfortunately 😔.
Stay tuned for the completed paint job and running videos to come.
This is just meant as a FUN basically stock class that honors the golden years of stock car racing.

When applying stickers to your RC bodies, always, always, always make sure you have the clear over spray film removed.. 😜 I'm making custom make numbers out of gold chrome vinyl and wanted to get them applied so I can paint the numbers outlines. The 350 "Golden Commando" was a one year only engine. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone is even doing one in resin currently.

Nice job on the build! We love it. Your right bout those door numbers being to tall. A little add vice for a next one, cut the numbers in half and over lap them just slightly in the middle part. Your weathering looks spot on. Good job.

Bitgo Hobby the most failing online hobby store on the market Bobby K must be an absolute Genius Business Man. :) Holy Smokes were going out of Business
The biggest problem with that plane? and i know cause ive had 3 of them is the damn spinners and propellers are always horribly OUT OF BALANCE. and the control horns will all get loose and falls off cause there not glued in so great from the factory. Bitgo hobby basically doesnt exist anymore they have absolutely no inventory at all getting parts for Dynam is nearly impossible over all so there not a great plane to keep looking good
Yeah I noticed that with the control horns when I was building it. But the out of balance props and spinners just make it sound more like a real 310.. 😂😂

I walked away from it for awhile but pretty much just need to do the body and front suspension. It's turning out ok. I need to get back on it and get it finished though

I believe some of the Atlantis kits were from old Revell moulds, I've been wanting to get one of their 1/46 (I think, odd scale for certain) P39 kits.

Pretty cool kit I bought a few at ollies... Cause I want to try out using painted decal paper for making the canopy frames and do a diorama of the K9 plane in the twilight zone episode I think its the same plane.
Oh wow I don't know how but I've never seen Twilight zone yet but looked it up online and it's definitely a B-25. That sounds like a great idea for a diorama 😁
I remember building that kit back in the '60's. It is not very accurate but fun to build.
Yeah it's a good building kit, plus I can add a B-25 to my ceiling. Lol
Absolute piece of trash plane. Is a Belly lander but design is one of the most belly lander unfriendly designs ever made. Mines living in a bin. From unbox straight to bin after failed launch that totalled it.
Man that sucks. I've flown the 3s version for years both as a belly lander and with gear and it's been good. I haven't finished building my 4s version yet because I'm waiting to get a gyro receiver for it. I'm going to be flying mine with landing gear so hopefully it's better that way 🤞
