"War of the Green Lanterns" is a 2011 ten-issue American comic book crossover storyline published by DC Comics that spans across the Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, and Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors series. It was written by each series' writer, Geoff Johns, Tony Bedard, and Peter Tomasi respectively, and drawn by Doug Mahnke, Tyler Kirkham, and Fernando Pasarin. The story focuses around the human Green Lanterns Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, alien Green Lantern Kilowog, and Guardian of the Universe Ganthet as they face off against their mind controlled fellow Green Lanterns and stop the renegade Guardian Krona from taking over the universe.

I have no clue. I liked the movie but I saw it once and didn't know any better. It's been years since I've seen it.
But people are still talking about it, joking about it, wanting multiverse cameos, and using the sound clip from the movie (I think) of the Green Lantern oath.
And because I'm a complete and total nerd:

I think that Green Lantern Earth One would make an excellent movie. It's just the perfect equilibrium between Star Wars and Star Trek, I have loved it. It also embraces the sci-fi style instead of going all superhero while the comics version with look like a kid movie because of the constructs, it does not show well on screen.
Fun fact: Recently in Dark Knights:Death Metal Multiverse End issue, it is explained now that when Krona looked in the past, he actually made the Multiverse not set in a stable form which caused the Multiverse to contain an infinite number of universes instead of a finite number of universes
Does that mean that he essentially created the Dark Multiverse, or does it mean that there are more than 52 universes in the multiverse?
David Vega Neither. The reason why the Multiverse had an infinite number of universes is because in the Multiverse wasn’t set stable due to his actions. Keep in mind that when I’m talking about Multiverse I’m talking about the multiverse before Crisis of Infinite Earths, not the multiverse in canon right now

@@kodakbar645 Rob said in this video that he lost both his parents in a five year window. He’s talked about it before, but he mentioned it in reference to Kyle Rayner’s fear of losing loved ones. That’s why I love superheroes. They help us face our fears.

I absolutely love Geoff John's run on Green Lantern run. So many epic events. Blackest Night in particular was my favorite. I also loved the New 52 Green Lantern, and associated titles, events. Rise of the Third Army being my favorite. I wasn't the biggest fan of the character pre-John's run. I now love The Green Lantern Corps
This out of many Geoff Johns Green Lantern stories proves that Green Lantern is such a cool character and the villains he fights against are so interesting

What I hate the most is when he loses and then say "yeah it was part of my plan too" and they give an explanation that does not make any sense.
i love the green lanterns, i hate when people go " their are too many humans in the green lanterns" well guess what, many things are out of proportions when it comes to comics because they want it to relate to us more and have stories on earth.
There are too many humans in the Green Lantern Corp... But I love them all.

There really isn't tho. Compared to ALL the different races in the Lanterns it really isn't a lot of humans. It's just that the humans eventually get put into different sectors so the corp goes back to Earth to find a new Lantern to serve in the Earth based sector. Realistically the human race would react very different to an alien based Green Lantern on Earth. I think that would be a cool dynamic to explore in comics but overall it makes sense why the Guardians always get an Earthling to serve in the Earth based sector.
@@st4ne4rmthevill63 The problem is that the human lanterns get too much focus and the alien lanterns barely get any attention. When was the last time Kilowog got a story arc for himself?

I really appreciated how Geoff Johns wrote the Lanterns mythos that is what actually got me back into comics as an adult. I liked how he defined the most dangerous and erratic of all the entities is the Love entity the Predator. This always really resonated with me.

I love that he explained Thomas Hobbes mid comic explained, also, this is why I listen to this channel who can translate these comics into philosophy. He must be a philosophy major.
This is probably the best Lantern story ever told. War of the Lanterns was the biggest bombshell story being told while at the same time at the end of flashpoint main story.

Wait wait wait. The 9 hour Geoff John's Green Lantern video of yours is only part one. Daayyyyuum. I love it though. I'm not a super fan(fan boy) and Marvel is my favorite But DC is no slouch. If it wasn't for your videos I would not have a damn clue of what happened, when and how it coincides with something else and everything in between. And it turns out it's really not as confusing as it appears so thank you Rob for making my comics experience so much more enjoyable. Your process is legit and don't stop ✌️

Yes, before the Zero Hour reboot, all Green Lantern members must be able to overcome fear and still able to use the power ring, because Parallax was housed in the Green Lantern Central Battery. That was how the members was chosen.
