Deluxe Perfect plastic putty is a water soluble putty that you can wipe with Q-tip and remove it. With Bondo glazing putty you can use acetone on a q-tip to remove it. Doesn't hurt the model and you can thin it also to make it easier to spread. The model is looking good. Thanks for all your videos.
+Ron Zufelt right. i only use ppp on top of paint since it has no bond with plastic. generally, for the wet method i like mr. surfacer 500 or 1000, but if i want a quicker dry and better sanding, i'll thin some bondo. just depends on the demands of the problem. :)
Respect due Will. When you see a guy with a mother of a metal file and an anvil on the bench, you know he is taking no prisoner's and showing the kit who is boss. Joking aside, fair play for sticking with it. Kutgw
I watched the entire series on this subject. I have all three versions which I picked up upon their release. I remember that they were pretty acclaimed at the time. Now I’m wondering if the Monogram B-25 is better engineered (which I swapped out of my stash for these). Anyway thank you for this, I learned a few things. I’d also like to see how all of your effort looks under it’s final coat of paint and finish. In any case, thanks I enjoyed watching. You've got a lot of patience, a good lesson.
stuck with you all the way..... what a ride..... I would have tossed that baby a long time ago but your efforts and skills are turning this turd into a great build.....
I've been associated with the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders for 38 years and was a "researcher" for this kit....check out the "thank you's" on the instruction sheet. And yes there were some tooling issues with this kit. I'd like to send you something do go along with this kit if you'll provide your mailing address.
+Ted Briscoe that would be very cool...as long as it's not a bomb! ;) if you'll message me, i'll get you the info. also....what a great experience to be associated with this group of real heroes. i can only imagine the stories!
Will....rest assured it will not be a bomb but something that you might enjoy having. By the way, there are only 2 of the original raiders alive and I would strongly suggest that you check out the doolittleraiders.com website as there is a wealth of information. Really enjoy your site and also Gary at makingmodelsagain.....
Excellent video, like the rest of the series I really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing.

For an accurate photo of the bombsight designed by Ross Greening, go to....Doolittle raiders.com or Stan Cohen's pictorial "Destination Tokyo".
