I have both an iPhone and an Android. For some reason I have lots of issues with Google Pay, the app seems to be constantly 'updating'. For me Apple Pay has been more consistently reliable.
I use both samsung pay + and Google pay. I have never had an issue with either of them. I use the Z fold 4 and the S23 ultra

@@hashhussain8550no Apple pay is better. Google pay you need internet and they store your card info on google server. Apple pay doesnt store card info on their server and you dont need internet
Apple pay and Google wallet is more secure than using a card because skimmers can't clone your card.
used both contactless methods and i am now a i user so have used apple pay but nothing beats cash i the net goes out for the count
I like how on Apple pay, it shows the location, and more information about purchases, that isn't shown in Google Pay
Apple just has more polished stock apps in general
@portman8909 Yeah, I saw that, I've been using Galaxy devices for a long time, and I tried an iPhone, and everything was pretty polished in general.
Is the Google pay option available for budget andriods too? Or to use the feature you just have to own a flagship andriod.

As long as the phone has NFC. I believe it works on any phone that has NFC .

Does google pay contactless have limit? Or Is it the same as apple pay where theres no limit when paying contactless?
What do you mean. When it comes to offline, google pay can be used for only few transactions before needing internet while Apple pay does not.
Are these also web based? Is the mobile app required, or can somebody login from their laptop and make a payment?
If you use Google pay and are logged into Chrome, you can use your cards through there for online shopping as well
The one benefit that Apple Pays as over Google pay is the fact that everything under one app. Google has two apps that do the same thing Gpay & Wallet outside of features that each has. Google should just move to having Gpay exclusive to all android phones and Wallet for non android phones. I'm all for Google pay since that's what I use most of the time and hope it gets better. But I can also see the other side of things if you have all apple products. But I'll also want to see a comparison between Samsung pay also.

Google finally got the memo and GPay will be gone in June all under Google Wallet
Using this is a better way to pay and less risk of having your account stolen or hacked

Been using Apple Pay since 2016. It’s secure as it utilises an NFC chip which transmits a one way signal & behaves like contractless payment on a bank card .
But the NFC chip on Apple is more restricted then on Android phones. On Android you can use NFC for other things besides payments
Bank cards are so trash lol I only use my phone cuz it's secure
@@davinp Apple isn’t restricted. We can use NFC for Home and Office Keys, Student ID, Driver’s License, Transit and Loyalty Cards.
Google Pay also uses NFC and that has been for years before apple did it

There is a better one: Samsung Pay. As long as you have an older phone that still has MST support. I used it at least 4 times this year in cities in Utah where NFC pay terminals still do not exist. ;)
This feature is one of the reasons I still have a S20 and haven't upgraded.
@@bryanmack1400 yep. same here with a Note 20 Ultra. Used MST just the other day at a Wheel Works that didn't have NFC. US retailers have until like 2027 to change over.
All I know is Barclays(the same Bank that enables monthly payments for buying iPhones for a fee from Apple in the UK) only let's their cards work on Apple Pay. This incentives their customers to buy iPhones....which ensures they get more money from the fees Apple gives them for the payment service.

Apple is better in terms of both being more secure, since card info is stored in secure element on device versus google servers and also convenience since you can use Apple pay offline without limits while google pay requires internet for retokenization or releasing new tokens. Google pay can only be used offline for few transactions
Google Pay is available on both iOS and Android whereas Apple Pay is only on iOS
G pay and be used on Iphone but Apple pay not on Android... Can use Gpay soon to be Google Wallet in alot of counties more than Apple pay.

I use the z fold 5 and the Google pay is so temperamental, sometimes the phone moved to fast, sometimes NFC just stops working at all and the phone requires a restart, never had these issues with apple pay. Does anyone else have this issue?
Apple pay doesnt require internet and it always works while google pay requires internet and needs the info to be sent via internet for new tokens to be released. Its a more stupid way since Google is dealing with many different phone brands while Apple is just storing info on device
Have you tested that? It does work offline as does Samsung pay, I have used it on a plane while travelling.

Apple pay is better than both. But i will tell you that samsung pay is better than google pay if you are using mastercard since it works offline without limit

Apple Pay is better because it isn't a payment intermediary, doesn't track your transactions, and doesn't store your card information on its servers. Google Pay, on the other hand, encrypts, saves, and stores your card information on its servers after you provide your card details during the initial setup process.

Google Pay and Samsung Pay are very similar. The main difference is that Samsung Pay is only available on Samsung phones & watches whereas Google Pay is available for all Android and iOS devices that have NFC
@@davinp something definitely worth noting is that in certain Samsung devices, magnetic secure transmission is supported. It's a hardware feature not software that built into the phone. It lets you pay at places that may not support NFC

Google pay sucks bro, requires internet and doesnt work sometimes or gives errors if you use it offline too much. Apple pay works offline everytime and doesnt store your bank info on online servers that could get hacked

@@joedaman8436 actually, bank cards can be lost and if the terminal you are paying through (especially if it is through swipe and not chip) is modified by scammers it is EXTREMELY easy to get your 16 digit number. Where as if you lose your phone, you can remotely wipe it, the real card info is not stored on the phone, and a fake one time token is created each time a payment is made, so even if the scammer got the one time token number it will not be usable.
