They got to coast and be garbage and obviously not try that hard or handed earn anything for 16-17 years, get endless top picks and ruin the majority of them, and went from not trying and being god awful to just now having less than one year of trying hard and earning anything. Don’t forget Kings have a decent def rating in second half of games, and even better in fourt quarters… They ARE very capable of defending. They wouldn’t win so many close games or make comebacks on teams if they couldn’t 💪

Been a fan for a long time now. This video was on of the best in a while, can't really put it into words why. Mike Brown was not mentioned in video but it must be known that he is the reason for this fast paced/ consistent EFFORT this team puts forward this year. Actually as a warriors fan, something tells me mike brown will want the warriors. And lemme tell you right now, I'd rather play Kevin Durant in the first round. At least they have someone who has a history of choking. The minute the suns have to rely on Paul for contributions it's wraps. Meanwhile de'aaron fox this season might be able to nullify curry in a close game by himself, not mentioning sabonis on the glass and all ur damn shooters. I know the warriors can beat you guys, but I'd truly rather face durant and the suns. The sleeper in the Kings is definitely Harrison Barnes. He knows how to win a championship (and choke one away too) but the point is he got playoff experience. While he doesn't score as much anymore, his FG efficiency is 47% which I think is the best of his career.
As a Dubs fan, I won't even be mad if they knock the Warriors out of the playoffs. (I'd prefer they do it to the Lakers tho lol)

The Kings are full of rejects like Huerter, Sabonis, and Monk. I'm sure teams have regretted their decisions.
It depends on the team and the player I guess. For Huerter and Monk then probably because they never seem to cause any issues for the team chemistry. For Sabonis though I think Indiana don't really mind the return. But above anything, they were put into systems that didn't work. Like Huerter having to rely to much on Young, Sabonis weird fit alongside Turner and Monk on a dysfunctional Lakers. All players can be amazing under the the conditions. Unelss you are Anthony Bennett.

Huerter was the perfect replacement for Hield. Sabonis was the big man we needed . And Monk was the perfect sidekick to Fox.

Honestly the Kings could be one of the most fun teams to watch during the postseason. There's no expectations, people are doubting them and they're on a roll.

My biggest issue with the Kings isn't how they've played during the season; it's the lack of playoff experience. Admittedly I've only been watching the NBA for about 3 years now, but my experience watching many sports is that it's exceedingly rare for a team to come in with practically no recent post-season experience, and win it all. Depending on how well they're playing they might have some success - like making the conference final, for example - but it'd be surprising if they managed to get the whole way there and win a chip given how long its been since they've been in the playoffs at all.
I'm a Clippers fan, but they haven't been performing at a level that gives me optimism. I'd kind of like the Nuggets to win just so Jokic can get a chip to go with his MVPs, and perhaps people will retire the silly argument that his MVPs don't matter because he hasn't got a ring. But if I'm being honest and realistic, I'd put my money on the Celtics. It's not even that they tick those boxes - which is important (the Kings not ticking the defense box will be huge come playoffs) - but it's just the fact that they have the experience of not only playing in some close playoffs series last year, but even getting 6 games of finals experience. That could be huge, and they honestly look better this year than they did last year (minus the recent little rough patch).
Something that also seems to be true across many sports is that, in some cases, a team will lose one championship game/series, only to come back in a year or a few years and get the opposite result - thanks in part to the experience of that loss. My favourite Aussie Rules team lost their grand final in 2015 - they got absolutely humiliated in it - but went on to win it in 2018 (with many of the same players playing in both), and I have no doubt that the bitter sting of defeat helped them get the dub the second time around (even if they pushed their luck with a very slow start :P ).
The Kings have the sickest crowd in the NBA. In playoffs time, it's hard to beat them on their home court.

Sacramento will be a second round exit which I still think is an insanely successful season. No matter how you try to spin it, (1) their defense is going to be an issue unless they make drastic changes. And then (2) being able to game plan for a 7 game series is a lot of different than just a regular season game preparation.
