Oh, this was awesome. You are an amazing teacher. You are the first one that made the lightbulb come on in my head on how to do the kitchener stitch! I’m so happy now. I got so frustrated trying to learn this from other tutorials. Nobody ever mentioned the part about how you know to start with a knit off on the front because of looking at the knit side. And purl off first on other side because you see purl bumps. I don’t know, you just really made it click for me. Thank you so much!

Using the attached yarn, just cut a longer tail ☺️

Natalie, I’m noticing that my row gauge is different with different fingering yarn. How do you deal with this for counting rows between heel and toe? Obviously, I could just carry a measuring tape, but I’m wondering if there are any other tips you have.
Hi Heather! You're totally right and that's a really good question! Most of the time I use the same base- a 75% superwash and 25% nylon 4-ply fingering weight. Since a lot dyers use that base, I know I can pretty much rely on my usual 65 round to make my foot! I've noticed that 80/20 bases are a bit fluffier. So with those I might go up a needle size and scale my foot down to 60 or fewer rounds. I hope that helps!
