- The 2016 Toyota Innova has been making news since quite some time now and finally, the new generation Innova recently made inroads into India at the Auto Expo 2016. The 2016 Innova, which has been christened as the Innova Crysta, is not too far away from its official launch and our guess is that the 2016 Toyota Innova Crysta India launch will take place soon after the advent of the next financial year! Also, the new Innova Crysta, in all likelihood, will be sold alongside the current model. The new model Innova doesn’t look much like the Innova that we know of. The front of the new 2016 Innova is more aggressive compared to the ongoing 2014 model. It now gets an SUV-like stance at the front with a large windshield, high seating and a large grille. The grille also looks much more masculine now. The headlamps are also less rounded and more boxy with sharp edge styling. The wheel arches are now more subtle and the side profile also gets some changes over the ongoing variant. The highlight of the new model’s design is its rear-quarter glass, which surely looks interesting. Save for the overall profile, the new-generation Toyota Innova bears very little resemblances to the existing model. The MPV’s front fascia now features a bigger hexagonal grille with dual chrome slats instead of the current model’s all-chrome grille. The new vehicle also gets all-new projector headlamps which are narrower in shape than the current model. Other differentiating elements upfront are - an all-new bumper and newly-designed fog lamps. The 2016 Toyota Innova’s side profile also look refreshing with a differently designed last row glass area and a sharply tapering C Pillar besides all-new wheel arches, alloy wheels and chromed window line. Coming to the rear profile, the vertically placed tail-lamps make way for horizontally-shaped lights. The rear profile also receives all-new bumper.

ARIA approved mileage is 15kmpl but while testing the vehicle my friend got 11kmpl in city and 12kmpl on highway.
