I very nearly bought one of these a few years ago now in red, it had been smashed in the driver side a lot to put right it was a toss up between that and an Mr2, in the end I bought a 93 Toyota MR2 turbo red t bar, still got it 15 years later best motor I've owned, can't beat the turbos and the Mr2 just looks so damn good. Gen 2 celica was the best shape I never see them on the road here in England now only ones I see it the last celica they ever made.
i completely remembered what that dead space is under the power mirrors. its for the rear window controls on the convertible model, and then the one dead space next to the shifter under the cupholder was for the power top.
They arent easy to work on, and they are old cars which alot of stuff needs to be replaced but they are very slick looking cars and probably feel even nicer driving in great shape. They are projects but yeah its not easy peasy. I know cause I got a 90 ST and a 91 GT and they both need alot of work too
gotta be the gts with me. love the twin tail pipe and pop up headlights. i would prefer the all trac but those are hard to find and expensive. its actually a pretty tough choice, im a toyota guy but the vtec preludes from the same era seem to be calling to me as well. either way i love the japanese sports cars of the late 80's to early 00's. it means to me what 60's american muscle means to the baby boomer car guys.
I have the same car, but it's a 1990 and it's red. My only complaint is that with the long throw shifter, I hit the cupholders going into 3rd. And it's really annoying😂
My first vehicle was a 91 S10 Chevrolet Blazer i had throughout High School . After i graduated i sold it and bought a 90 Toyota Celica ST. I have parked next to my 93 Dodge Stealth ES .
In case this helps someone in the future, the system 10 premium sound system is good but not amazing. You will still want to upgrade speakers because let's face it. It's still a 27-30 year old car now.
Well back in the 90's you got luaghed at for driving one of them everyone said the Toyota Celica & Mitsubishi Eclipse were for girls . The funny thing is that i actually bought it off a Hispanic girl there was pink heart stickers and the Mexican Flag everywhere i had to rip off tuck me 4 hour's to scrape all that shit off.
Lmao 😂 i did the same thing until i got a Walmart Stereo for $120 listened to a 80's Tapes hitting antique stores. The Cult, VIXEN, Def Leppard Cinderella, Van Halen, Dokken , Skid Row, Guns N Rose's, Heart , Billy Idol, Pat Benatar, Bonnie Tyler, Journey, Rush , The Fixx, The Clash, Van Halen, Kiss, Alice In Chains, Pink Floyd, Vanilla Ice, Mc Hammer , Sir Mix Allot, don't know what happened to the original stereo it got put up somewhere.
Cool! I plan on going also. Maybe we'll meet if we go the same day! Let me know what day you're going when you decide if you don't mind. Also, do I have to purchase tickets online or do I just go?
@@xhunterscott346 I mean yeah unless on some rare chance you get a cop that's a Toyota nerd I'm sure you'd be fine. I'm talking about a passenger being where the car was not designed to have one at all. Rip to them if any sort of accident ever happened. Also I'm pretty sure the hump in the seat and floor are there for a reason. So unless they're a baby or 3 feet tall nobody's going to fit.
this car will soon be in high demand if not already..what a classic

@@coconutsafari7049 Old school classic! Especially with those pop up lights

And even more demand thanks to Scotty
@@MikoyanGurevichMiG21 isn't that only for 6th gen Celicas or did he also praise the 5th gen.
It's sometimes hard to believe Toyota used to make cars like this. My Vigor's pillarless doors closed solidly as well.
So many choices in my area, an FC3S RX-7, a '92 Celica, a nissan GTS-T R32, an MR-2, Integra, 300ZX Z32, and more

I just bought a 3sgte swapped 93 GT. It’s black and in excellent shape. I’m in love with it! Lol
Spot by the park brake is for adjustable seats. Lumbar support and the sides hug you more or less. Amazing seats
i completely remembered what that dead space is under the power mirrors. its for the rear window controls on the convertible model, and then the one dead space next to the shifter under the cupholder was for the power top.
Or if you have a GT-S or All-Trac that space controls the power seat lumbar.
just bought one to restore it!

I'm currently driving a Hyundai Tuscon N line S, it's pretty nice, but it'll never compare to this model of Toyota Celica, the best car I ever drove.
just bought one today. Such a nice car.
WE BOUGHT IT 3O YRS AGO AHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHA

well, i'm gonna buy one just for that spring loaded cassette holder! :)

I call the manual shifter "Rührschüssel" (Mixing pot)
Cut the the stick 2 inches fine!!
Well as everyone knows a shifter is impossible to change and you’re stuck with it. Oh well
My very first car as a 19 year old in 2005🙂

The speakers are excellent for being a 27 year old vehicle. I listen to allot of Heavy Metal .
I learned how to drive stick on a 1992 Toyota Celica STX

Are you going to the DC Auto Show this year?

The uk ones came with a 10 speaker system as standard
I found one on craigslist for $2800 and it only has 94k miles. Why do you think the price is so high?
Sweet dude!
Its sooo nice 😁👌
Looks alot like my own but mine doesn't have power windows or manual with a sunroof but in total still a nice ride
Where is the cold cranking sensor on this car
I have a red 92 Celica GT with like 140,000 miles.
Jose Berrios Jr engines just worn in then !
I have celica 93,,,,whit 350,000 still runing good...
Yeah mine blew a Head Gasket taken my father to the VA . The engines have been beat to shit .
I’d so love to own one of these, and modify it to double as a rally car.
Is this car worth it? I am interested in a Toyota celica convertible 1991
You'd want the 94-99 Bug Eyed 6th Generation than a Convertible is pretty rare to come by .
What part of ny you from? Im from there and just bought one
no way did you buy it from gm motors or craigslist
Can you review an E30?
